I was trying to talk myself into thinking "it's really not that bad" and then....you opened the curtain and I audibly gasped! That is just wrong and should not be a DVC room. Maybe a bargain basement cash rate room but not DVC. Thanks for the honest review!

This is NO GOOD. At least the tower studios at RIV have their bathroom separate but like come on, the bathroom vanity is the first thing you encounter upon entry. Edit:spelling

Regarding Hey Disney. When staying at Saratoga Springs, we used Hey Disney to order more towels, coffee etc. After using the screen I wasnt sure if the request went through. I called the front desk to double check and there was a knock at the door, a staff member with everything we requested. I kid you not, maybe 3 min after I ordered it. Im a fan

The Riviera tower studios get a lot of flack but I have really enjoyed them. I tend to vacation solo or with ppl where I would get my own room because it's my friend and her family- fun to do the parks together but it'd be weird to be in the same room. I can see those rooms and the duo tower rooms at Polynesian being too small to be comfortable for 2 people but they're great for 1. I like the amenities and the location of the more expensive resorts without having to pay for a giant room. With renting DVC points- I can get a tower studio for close to a moderate price.

I can't believe there are no outlets on the console under the TV! That's so cheap of them. I guess they weren't included in the Ashley furniture catalog and Disney didn't want to do a special order.

My take and how my wife and I do DVC. We have 560 points between the Poly, Aulani and Copper Creek. Not many points. Our first priority is room, maximize points for our stay and last view. Many times because of this or that it might not be a full trip in one location. Again maximizing points because we are in the parks most of the day. I could do this room if we were saving points in order to maximize another trip down 3 or 4 months later. My wife and I and sometimes with boys (16 and 19 today) join us. We do trips as allowable 3, 4 5 times a year.

For that view it should be considered less than standard maybe a value category for even cheaper points. At least people would know what they’re getting.

When I bought my DVC points at Riviera, I thought the tower studios were plenty for us. Now I want at least a 1 bedroom villa. The amenities of the larger villas spoil you.

What were the designers thinking? The entire outer terrace should have been available to the room as compensation for the lack of view. That would make the room worth something.

I wonder how bright the lights will be shine on to the building. Do they bleed into the room? That would make it worse than a SAD room!

I’ve been waiting for this Tom you have to watch Kyle’s video . He paid a 1,000 and his face says it all for one of these . Visibly upset and shocked . He asked to be moved and Disney did to a room with a view but personally I can’t get over having a Murphy bed when paying DVC prices 🤦‍♀️ no thank you for a stay. Jojo girlfriend put it best She said it doesn’t feel like your in Disney and guess what I don’t have to pay WDW prices to do that .

The vanity in the main room 👎🏻 with my luck I would be standing there, brushing my teeth as someone open the room entry door and hit me in the back. Bad location.

So Duo rooms are equivalent to wham bam motels aka by the hour hotels. Perfect for when you’re on a cough cough business trip and you can go back and slamma bamma the wamma bamma. Smart of Disney to monetize and bring back the good ole motel Hotel rooms from yester year.

CRAZY ROOM SET UP!!! Don’t like it……I’m not putting pillows etc away every day and not climbing over a couch to get into bed at night…..not sure what they were thinking!!! And the sink behind the door!?!?! Ugh
