The wall of the safe room is still up in Jeff's pizza, and ITP is most likely set before Fnaf 3 happened, so William's agony could be haunting the place, from his corpse, infecting the memories of the past. Which is really cool to think about. (Also it makes my headcanon that Jeff gave permission to Phone Dude to search for Fazbear memorabilia for Fazbear's Fright there very plausible)

12:22 I'm frothing at the bit whenever anyone compares the two games because the team behind Poppy Playtime has done a LOT of work to try and make the game unique and stand out amongst a plethora of mascot horror ideas and games. Fnaf is what we'd consider the holy epitome of the mascot horror genre, so of course we all look to it as a solid example of success in the genre, and MobGames knows this, but they're not using that knowledge as a copy point, they used it as a starting point to branch off and try a new approach and to be something new altogether. They're trying so hard NOT to be fnaf, it's just hard to avoid something that has it's little slimey faz-goo paws in every corner of the genre. (I say this with all the love of a childhood friend, because that's honestly what fnaf is to me. I was exactly 13 when fnaf 1 made its debut. Wild. Anyway.)

Thoughs/notes 1. Jackie's voice lines were leaked, they're all based around birthdays (or hide 'n seek) which would imply she as built for birthday parties 2. the wooden 'cut-outs' people have seen/seen blueprints for. I think they might be flats for dark rides. This place builds rides and the rides its build, these lower-end carnival rides, were more likley to use wooden flats or static figures than animatronics at this point in time (hell, Disney was still using them for most of it's Fantasyland dark rides). 3. This isn't a toy factory. the problem is is that I can't remember what then name for this sort of location is - it's basically and all-purpose warehouse/show-room/&D/office/HQ kind of place, loads of small businesses have/had them, the geezer who actually builds the Rock-A-Fire Explosion had one, Atari had one. What are they bloody called??? 4. There's a lot of evidence pointing to Sun & Moon, or rather Eclipse, being in the game. Under_Score saw a mural of them on the floor of the title screen of the demo, they were the only other character besides Jackie to have a model in the queue for the demo and the poster for the carousel, which features Moon, is up in the demo area, which seems to be themed as the location of the demo, set at the time of the demo. 5. the prototype Mr Hippo and Happy Frogs have in-game models. They're in the title screen. I think one of the shadows in the security screens (not the one that people think is the lion mascot costume, the other one) looks a lot like the prototype Mr Hippo's outline. Also a Redditor called BubbleZap saw a 'bayou croc' mascot suit (and a chef pig). Maybe this geezer goes with the others? A proto-Monty for a proto-Mediocre Melodies? 6. Fazbear Entertainment could still have been founded in 1983. We know that the resturants had previous owners from Phone Guy in FNAF 2. Fazber Ent. could have come into being following the Bite of '83 and the franchise being sold off. Either an old company renamed or a new company formed to buy the franchise. 8. FuNaff heard the Puppet's music box tune just before the end of 'the chase' part of the demo, it could have come from Jackie (she was nearbye at the time) but it's also in the teaser right? And the booth at PAx West, where they're showing this off, has a big, seemingly new, Puppet figurine. Security Puppets for Secret of the Mimic? 7. I don't think Jackie is the Mimic. I think she's Lady Dimitrescu or, at best, Nemesis.

I think the explanation is simple. The game is in 1979, Freddys opens in 83. The originals were probably the transitioned mascot suits to springlocks seen on Freddit or even the Circus Gang. They lose the suits in this game, and Henry makes the ogs instead.

If I had to give Spring Bonnie a new name, it'd be Harry. I always liked the idea that they're a hare vs Bonnie's bunny rabbit. However, what I actually think is the case is that he was just Bonnie. Blue Bonnie was Theodore, and in the Fredbear and Friends cartoon they decided to merge the two. So they added the "Spring" prefix as to not confuse the kids.

Things I think. 1. I think it’s very possible that secret of the mimic will finally and officially confirm whether or not the tales from the pizzaplex books are canon to the games. 2. Theirs a very 50/50 chance that we might see who create MXES in the game. 3. In this game we could possibly play as either William or Henry or perhaps some fazbear employee from the 70s. 4. Jackie might not be the same mimic we see in ruin but rather a mimic variant much like how glitchtrap and Helpi are. 5. (SPOILERS IF YOY HAVENT READ THE TALES BOOKS), in the tales books it says their was once an entire line of mimic endoskeletons but they were all decommissioned for mimicking human behavior in ways that they weren’t suppose to, perhaps it’s possible that we may come across different versions of the mimic throughout the game.

Mimic 1 program is just a generative AI program which our different versions are trained from different data. Glitch Trap is trained on William Afton. Mimic (RUIN) has known training data from Gregory and Roxy. GGY and Vanny possibly have a mix of Dave (crying child) and Elizabeth + original personalities. We know Glamrocks are trained by employees (HW2).

Then, it likely is that 3 central figures for the Freddy's Fazbear brand are at the 1979 fall fest. William, Henry/Edwin, and then the creator of the mimic (if Edwin or Henry do not exist) or possibly the second person's wife. They would be represent Spring Bonny, Fred bear, and the Jester. I think HRY's wife dies at this event "a wound first inflicted on me" possibly in a fire. Assuming Jackie is the Mimic my previous sentences here could be from an event prior to 1979 with 1979 being the introduction of spring lock technology and/or the mimic technology to fall fest. We possibly play as Michael Afton (likely 10-14 years old [basing this off him being Foxy bully in bite of 83 for age]) or we play as Dave (Crying child likely 6-8 years old) if we play as a child [reference trend Security Breach and RUIN to play as child characters]. If we play as an adult then one of the big 3 at the beginning of this is likely the case... unless we are pulling a help wanted 2 (watching footage from the past) or ballpit (accessing others memories).

I’m not 100% familiar with all the deep lore but a while back I commented on a rye video (I thing in a matpat vid…or maybe a funaff? I can’t remember) that the mimic was giving puppet vibes. More specifically the correlation between the book version (mimic buildt by Henry proxy for child/child dies) and Henry building the puppet for Charlie. When funaff noted the puppet cords throughout the pizza plex, then the mimic is found underneath I felt even more that they might be the same thing. Add to this the idea that with the introduction of Jackie we find out she’s a Jack in the box. Where does the puppet live? In a box. Then the music… I will add that Henry’s speech about resting and sleeping doesn’t necessarily mean they died. It could literally mean to rest or sleep. FNAF is ambiguous like that.

‘Where are its legs’: assuming this takes place after Fazbear gets their hands on the mimic, removing the legs would be a smart move, since it murdered two teams sent to retrieve it. Having it in a less mobile state lets them analyze its code and design more safely. Plus the legs were not originally designed for it, so wouldn’t be as interesting for Faztechs to study. Prisons of ‘my making’ could mean ‘my design’. Or, after Edwin disappeared, Henry had to take over as lead designer of the animatronics, so by 1983, those versions of the animatronics were made by him, even if earlier incarnations were not.

Henry still created the restaurant animatronics and the characters in general, but Edwin created the ones for FallFest. Edit: Springbonnie is first named in FNaF3, during Night 4 when Phone Guy's tape recording says "management has also been made aware that the Springbonnie animatronic has been noticeably moved." I will say, I am kinda worried that SotM will be panned and regarded as a Poppy's Playtime derivative (actual nightmare scenario because I strongly dislike that 40%-of-a-product game), given that people are already complaining about the visuals and mechanics being ""essentially"" that (from what I've heard/seen from direct sources, I'm not really getting that aside from "puzzle and chase sequence in a factory", which oh no the unfinished demo has a basic gameplay loop, the horror, but then again I'm not FNaF TikTok and Twitter lmao). I'm confident that the actual finished game will be like, a finished product with all parts of its story/game included, and will be more than just "walk in room, do obvious puzzle, Freaky Geeky chases you for 3 minutes, Lore Infodump, do another obvious puzzle, enter next part of game, rinse and repeat", but there's still that nagging part of my brain that's like "what if" y'know. But this game feels like both a genuine passion project and also a continuation of familiar ground for Steel Wool (and Scott learned to like, actually give his developers the full story of the game and the lore it affects instead of misinterpreted breadcrumbs), so I'm fairly certain this game will be Peak and Cool and Based™©® upon release.

My thought seeing Jackie with no lower half was that she could be the bot that's turned into the mimic later; if I'm remembering correctly in the books Edwin uses an old bot with no legs to make it. I'm not sure how that would work in the game in terms of timing and raises more questions (mainly, why would Jackie be hostile if she doesn't have a malicious AI already), but if you want TalesGames to be real - personally I still think they are seperate continuities, but willing to be proven wrong - then that could be a way it happens. All speculation for now, hopefully we see more soon!

Honestly I don't think it'd make sense for Talesgames to be true. If Edwin is all of a sudden supposed to be Henry, that leaves a lot of questions that we originally... mostly had answers for. Or at least theories. Like, where does that leave Charlie? Is she just supposed to be the stand-in for David in the games? What about the fact that there might just be a David in the games, in the form of the Crying Child? (I'm not saying that the theory is true, but it feels prudent to bring up here.) But assuming for a second that it is true, then are Crying Child and the book David supposed to be one and the same? Where does that leave Michael, who we've been assuming for years now to be Foxybro? Both of which we've always assumed were William's children? Game Theory had a though experiment years ago exploring the idea of them being Henry's children, but it's always felt like there was more evidence of them being Willy's. Or would the whole two David's just be another 500 iterations of Jeremy situation? Also, what are the FNaF 6 tapes labeled HRY about? Would it be some sort of acronym, then? It could also be that Henry AND Edwin exist at the same time? Which would honestly make it a lot easier, with way less consequences on established lore, but still leads to different questions. (If I had a nickel for every time a parent made robots that acted like their children...) First thought I had when I heard Jackie's name: Jack + Charlie = Mimic version of Charlie, kinda like Edwin mimic story. Not to say that the mimic is 10000% Jackie, but if it's true, that's such a strong naming connection it feels intentional.

Agreed! Silver eyes was very strongly telling us the dynamic of kid and robot that gains sentience and thinks it's kid, which is what we see in the mimic story, too.

I don't think so. The only Charlie link is the music that was used to keep her calm inside the box in Fnaf 2. Which this is set even before Charlie's death, before Fredbear's, before any of the deaths. And charlie died outside a Freddy's, so the mimic wouldn't have any reason to copy a probably toddler aged Charlie, or at least a very young one, let alone copy the music used to calm her down 8 years in the future. If this was set in 1988 i would be willing to agree, but this is set in 1979, and the demo shows Freddy's isn't open yet. This is just addine "ie" at the end. Which a female Jack is usually a Jackie. So if anything, it's possible that they tried using the music from the old Jackie animatronic to calm the wild puppet's actions, calming it down.

@@ZapStrideGaming i more meant that it seems like it could be that this is back when Henry is first starting to work, so hes busy for fall fest and made an animatronic to keep charlie happy and entertained but then she got hit by afton after the fact. I dont mean that charlie's death has happened yet. I meant that it would just be cute if henry named it "jackie" like, "here sweetie. I made you a friend. Her name is JackIE" and then it has the added bonus of becoming a "Charlie" mimic when she ends up dying later. Itd be like if SpringTrap was already called that before William got trapped in it. Like, oh damn, its even more ironic that the name also applies to that. Or like how Baby was already called Baby but then it also took Elizabeth - William's baby

Henry built the animatronics, Edwin has never been established to be the "creator" of them, he just built the Mimic. Freddy's can open with it's own animatronic characters whenever they want because Edwin has nothing to do with it. This new factory is only advertising the soon to be open Freddy's restaurant but Freddy's singing show was already a thing, Fredbear's was already a thing, the fact that they are promoting the new location doesn't mean "Oh, we are building the animatronics at this moment, Edwin is doing it as we speak" 🤷‍♂

Hypothetical Tales Games Timeline: Edwin creates the Mimic Edwin disappears Fazbear team A and B die Fazbear successfully reclaims the Mimic and the warehouse Fazbear repurposes the warehouse for the company, and continues to use it for the creation of more animatronics Henry is now the one making the animatronics since the person they had hired to do that is MIA. So, by the time Freddy Fazbear’s opened, the most recent animatronics would not have been made by Edwin. Those would be about 4 or more years old by that point, and they probably continued to redesign and improve until they opened.

The similarities are uncanny, like yes, Poppy didn’t invent abandoned toy factory chase sequences, but that’s not the only thing Pax West had similar to Poppy. The posters are extremely similar; there’s literally a poster that says the EXACT SAME THING as the Cat bee poster in poppy playtime. Also this new game is the first to be a very puzzly game, like other FnAf games did have puzzles but this has a lot of puzzles just like in poppy playtime. A crawling entity chasing you is also very similar to the dogday chase sequence from poppy; and poppy is basically a puzzle-monster chase- puzzle game, which is very similar to poppy. And the most sus thing is that this only started happening after chapter 3 released which people claimed to be the best mascot horror. I hate to be that guy, but this is way too close to a poppy playtime game for it to be a coincidence.

What if in The Silver Eyes the note about Charlie having a twin brother, is a hint about "the one you should not have killed" or about some of the ideas of andrew. It's a stretch sure but if they were twins, and such, the idea that his sister died and this sparked him on a life of misery and pain and such.... It could in theory explain midnight motorists to a small degree.... The mound, the bar, idk. Maybe midnight motorist is a explanation for multiple situations, not just one. Idk... Just something I was thinking about.

I mean could you imagine loosing your twin sister? And then this drives your dad bug nutty and your mom and Dad argue and they fight a lot, your dad a genius before just goes out to drink and visit that spot in the woods come home and explode on you and your mom, and every night out there in the rain you see the last thing she saw, Spring Bonnie, and this image haunts you, from the moment you lost your childhood to the moment your mom and Dad divorced, to the day you confirmed someone was responsible, for all the years of arguing, the years of torture and pain, the years of nightmares caused by the trauma. In the end he decides he died the same day Charlie died.... He decides that day.... Afton killed the one he should not have killed. This can go a little further... If Henry, is the mustard man, we can assume other details like, maybe he knew William was responsible and took the car, or the other way around Afton gave the car to Henry a gift for a grieving friend. His prized purple car for Henry to use till he can recover, from having to deal with costs of his daughter's funeral. In the end Henry is arrested caught with the car associated with the MCI. He's arrested, adding to the torture of this hypothetical vengeful spirit. The confusion, the anger, the idea that this good man you knew your father to be could be responsible for killing your sister and other children,... And just a few short years of being haunted by the living memories of Charlie later, and he realizes, he knows, his father couldn't have done it, it was another. His father never wore costumes, his father's business partner though?.... He was always strange... Always off... Always... Too friendly....

I do want to point out that there is fredbears family diner which is considered a henry property then we have circus baby's pizza/party world considered afton then there's chica's party world... and Edwin. And is it not possible that Edwin was contracted by afton to build his animatronics I mean spring locks do not seem like a henry design characteristic nor really does it seem like an early afton idea.

I think Edwin created the endoskeletons. Henry created the animatronics, and Afton the springlocks. To me, it makes sense for the three different techs to be made by three different people.

Not to mention that the two souls theory would most likely be a retcon of what was originally intended for Golden Freddy if the bad ending is considered. Each head has on light source. Yet an alternative approach is that Golden Freddy is fueled primarily by agony with the soul having the least influence. I definitely should check out the games and books though. Like yeah the character is also a frog but is this OG Monty? How long was he a character for?? Foxy was switched out for a wolf. Roxy is clearly like, meant to replace and is based on Foxy. Could Monty be similar? This is the dumb detail my ADHD brain has glomed onto. Hm. I wonder if William stole Jackie’s design to use her for Baby. I have to assume because SW has been leaning into the books a LOT that the Tales books are canon so it won’t be Henry who made Mimic even though that would help tie things off better, unless Cassidy is the child Mimic was made for to finally tie THAT kid in, since Cassidy is the only outlier character other than Phone Guy who is important in the games. I wonder if Spring Bonnie’s real name is like, themed like Fredbear. I don’t think his name is Yellow Rabbit or Spring Bonnie, because Yellow Rabbit isn’t a character name really and Spring Bonnie just shows off that he’s a spring lock suit.
