i used to be a fake transsexual in a t4t couple. we broke it off though, thank god. my partner at the time was very controlling of my speech and beliefs. saying i needed to have my pronouns listed, that we're the same as biological men (we're biologically female) and she'd even try to get a gay man in our relationship.

I have not. As a matter of fact there were very few, if any trans people in my community growing up (I'm gen X). What used to be rare has ballooned into a social statement. I have no problem with what people do with themselves, I come from a very long tryst with the goth/industrial subculture, so have seen quite a bit of the fringe and am more accepting than a lot. But my preference is biological women...well now that I'm almost 50, more like my preference is the TV (my dating pool has shrunk a wee bit).

I have a struggling supposedly ftm partner. It's a biological female identifying as a man since he was a child and using he/him pronounce. The thing is - he's not sure. He's not sure if he wants to get testosteron, he doubts he wants to remove his breasts, though, he says he's gender-dysphoric with the way his voice sounds or because he has breasts. He seems confused, because when someone asks him what gender is he, he actually says he has no idea. He struggles with low self-esteem and other mental health issues. The problem is that we live in Russia. Not only It's homophobic, it's as well is transphobic, so he can't reach for a gender dysphoria treatment and he also can't reach therapy. I feel stuck. I wish I could help him somehow.

Yes, two people and it consumed their lives. They were nonfunctional outside of that head space. Every conversation revolved around their ideology. Finding work was impossible because it was hard to find a place that was ok with them for some reason that was never clear. They needed constant validation and always had a victim mentality. Their bodies were a constant worry. Their treatment was a constant worry. The world looking down on them was a constant threat. They were both trying to get on disability for depression and claimed to be depressed because they were trans. As a mutual friend said about one of them, "Nothing is normal". Literally nothing was normal. Getting a glass of water was somehow a related to being trans.

@Eragarev
@Eragarev 7 ай бұрын
They think of nonbinary as trans by virtue of identifying differently. That's it. Whatever they are dealing with internally is considered irrelevant because their only rule is that self-id is valid no matter what. That's why they have a problem with people who say that self-id means nothing because they can't deal with the fact that some people have different standards.

There's a difference between transgender woke queer culture people and actual transsexual people.The queer culture people spend a lot of time thinking about the rest of the world and how it perceives them, making this massive spectacle out of themselves and sharing too much information. They're very passive aggressive. One threatened to harm me before. It was scary. 😟 The female to male kept talking and joking about his top surgery. It made me uncomfortable. I tried to be kind though. One time I asked him how he's doing and he said he identifies as he, they, and she. Last picture I saw of him was one of him posing in a pretty dress. 6:44 that’s super weird to me - not as a trans person, but as a person with injectable medication. My bestie also has MS and is also on copaxone, and like… there’s a lot that goes into how coapaxone is is injected, getting the depth right, rotating sites, loading the autoinjector for setting depth, etc. So when she first started, of course I helped her figure it all out; beyond that, we don’t get together in a shooting range and take Power Pictures of us injecting our medications. 😂😂😂 That’s just super weird. Like… what?!! If we’re supposed to be treating gender dysphoria and its treatment like any other medical condition / treatment… then isn’t it a little bit weirdo to be making such a big thing about it? I don't care who you want to have a relationship with, go wild... I care when biological males (the evidence-based SEX, not the fairy-dust based, self-declared """gender""") want to invite themselves into the bathroom where my 7yo daughter is most vulnerable... I care when they want to control MY language, and force me to PRETEND to share their 100% evidence-free, pseudo-religious belief in sex-independent "gender", with wrong-sex pronouns. I respect that THEY have a right to say/believe whatever evidence-free nonsense they choose... The problem is that these intolerant authoritarians won't respect MY right to be honest about MY belief in evidence-based biological reality... Fun fact- While biological males commit over 98% of sex offences, those men who self-ID as "trans women" commit sex offences at an EVEN HIGHER rate (around 4x higher) than the overall male average. Statistically, women and girls would be safer, letting any man who DOESN'T self-ID as a "trans women" use female bathrooms... (but obviously the MOST safe option, is to only allow real-world, evidence-based females into female bathrooms; Crazy idea, I know...)

I don't understand the desire to be seen as male if you're a masculine female, or seen as female if you're a feminine man. Not everyone has gender dysphoria, and it's a shame that some people see this as contemporary body modification. Women need their breasts for a reason, and men need their unit for a reason. I don't speak for anyone but myself, but I couldn't date someone who was trans; I'd love to date and eventually marry a biological man who is loyal, intelligent, supportive, protective, established in himself and confident about who he is as a man, and who's ready for the apocalypse at a moment's notice. Being a survivalist, this is extremely important to me.

He has addressed this before. He essentially said it would be silly to say that its a hetero relationship, only because any onlooker would see two *men* together, so it makes more sense and is easier to just say they're a gay couple, rather than go into the explanation and nuance of how he's biologically female.

I'm actually cool if they're in love- yes, het couple for all intents and purposes, but my hesitation (probablly similar to Marcus but ill summarize it with my words) is the way they talk about their relationship. The two of them- at least in the clips Marcus shared- describe finding their love because no one else saw their unique genders, which apparently no cis person is capable of. That alone cannot sustain a relationship, since focusing on life through the lens of gender is limiting, and dare I say exhausting. "Go touch grass" is quite a dismissive and harsh comment to give them, but it's laced with a bit of truth in that there's more to life than which sex class does what and why. I feel like this is why conservative areas, while they might feel harsh and unwelcoming from the outside, do accept trans people, because if they're down-to-earth and honest about their situation and get on with their life, they'll come around. (Edit: missed a word)

For real I've only ever heard people use that word in insane situations. Like I walked into my local GSA sat down and they were like four they/thems(who were literally just yowie obsessed straight girls who infantilized gay relationships) in the room and they were having a discussion on how they could commit violent act against cishets in retaliation for imaginary discrimination.

I began my ftm transition about 5 years ago and the experience I've had through my whole transition has made me so anxious when I hear about or see T4T couples. When I first voiced wanting to seek therapy for my issues, my friend went from doing things like going off on me about how I was wrong and shouldn't seek therapy to stalking and harassing me with death threats for years while also copying my identity all the way to dong HRT. T4T couples remind me of this person because, after they had met a "genderfluid" homeless man at a convention where my ex friend was cross dressing as a man to act like me, they started dating then super quickly after jumped to doing HRT through a consent clinic like it was a romantic gesture to do it at the same time, within the month they met for the first time and after 4 months after my ex friend began the abusive behaviors. It haunts me to this day because being the target of my ex friend's obsession gives me a sense of guilt despite how all I wanted was therapy and a solution. I know there is probably some authentic trans couples out there, but any time I see them I can't help but question what's going on there because of the bizarre trauma my ex friend caused.

I feel bad for you that you’ve had to suffer with this mental affliction ( and will gladly admit that you very much pas for a attractive male ).. for me personally I empathize because I suffer from Severe drug resistant bipolar . I know first hand that we do what we need to do to feel better and navigate this world and live our best lives as healthy and happy.. as we can ! I don't really see an issue with tft couples and it's better that trans people date each other instead of pressuring non-trans people into doing it, which is a pretty big issue the trans community has.
