Newton is my favorite running shoe ever. It gives me speed and balance that no one else does. The problem I have is to buy it in Brasil where I live.I keep recommending Newton to all my marathon friends and I hope you can find a distributor in BR soon.

Just to get it straight, your patent was left out since the launch of the shoes from the beginning, or after the 5 lugs were introduced?
@EnergyReturnWheel9 жыл бұрын
+Dragonman0876 The beginning...Britek, 10% oxygen conservation Britek China manufacturer "Ace World", CW Nam. License to Newton... Newton thought they could save money starting from scratch?...Result, Air Shoe, compression. No Britek performance improvement.

What is the shoe called at 2:33 ? It looks like it has different mid-foot luggs and like it's really minimal and light weight and cool !

Does any one else find it ironic...A company named Newton would screw the inventor?

Ned Rithkin What the heck happened? Seems like newton simply disappeared.

I've heard these are poor running shoes.

? They are super durable and comfortable. You heard wrong.
@0bservationist8 жыл бұрын
Stefan Griffin I heard from a professional runner, that these shoes are junk. Maybe you are more qualified to opine?
@StefanGriffinMusic8 жыл бұрын
+Jacob Graber Shoes are subjective, so your "professional runner" friend's opinion vs. my opinion isn't the gospel. I do know that I've had a pair that I can still run in comfortably since 2012, so in terms of durability, they certainly aren't junk. The lug system aren't for everyone; I actually don't run in them much anymore, but Newtons are great shoes for those that like them. Care to share the name of your professional friend? If they are sponsored by another brand, that's why they may knock other brands (which is wildly unnecessary.)

You are right, the comfort of shoes is subjective. Now let's explore where you are wrong. The professional runner I talked to wasn't my friend, it was an athlete that I had a conversation with at a running event. Also your shoes you've had since "2012" are still comfortable, that's great! However, judging from your youtube profile pictures, you are a rather fat fellow and I'm wondering how much use you got out of them. ;) I wish I could tell you the name of the professional athlete I talked with at the race, but I didn't catch his name, I just noticed he was running in the same wave/heat as the professionals, and he indicated that he was a professional. But maybe you and your quotation marks know better? I also see that you are showing off newton shoes in your profile picture. I'm wondering if maybe you just work for them rather than run in them. (which would explain your large frame) Either way, the advice the pro runner gave me was fantastic, I now run in mizuno. They are more affordable and they are comfortable and just what a novice runner like me needs.

Jacob Graber First of all, runners come in ALL sizes. Not that I owe you an explanation, but yes, I've battled with my weight for years, but I still run every other day, have ran multiple 5 and 10ks, which for my size, is not easy. If my body would allow me to run longer right now, I would, but I push my body every time I get on the road/trail/treadmill. I have health conditions that make it hard for me to lose weight. But hey - at least you got to be an asshole to someone that is and has always tried their hardest. Well done. You must be proud of yourself. Second, I am a musician that's never worked for ANY shoe company. The profile picture that you are looking at is of my behind my drums. There are pictures of me in Newtons, but you must have been being super creepy and stalking my profile to find them. Like I said, I don't run in Newtons anymore. I run in Mizuno and Saucony. That picture is over 2 years old. But good for you for being creepy. Third - Thousands of runners swear by Newton shoes. You are basing your opinion off of ONE interaction with a person that you don't even know. How about you form your OWN opinion on the shoes by, of I don't know, trying them on? That'd be great. You're only reason for coming to this video was to troll Newton, which is a small company just trying to sell what they think can help people with their running. You don't have to believe in them or even like their shoes, but there's no reason to go out of your way to be an asshole.
