Yeah Buffalo is not the best team but we are not either, And Buffalo definitely has the offensive fire power for us to easily lose this game… Great game for the Habs it’s a big win, Amazing effort, If Hughes really improves the bottom 6 with some veteran players who are not at the end of their careers and we can get a veteran RD who is better than Savard then I think this team can make the playoffs next year.

Laine is very good at zipping that puck past the goalie fast. It was too bad his even strength goal was waived off as 92-77-20 line was having trouble producing. Personally think Slaf should go back to being with Suzuki and Caufield. Good idea to have Slaf and Suzuki causing havoc down low to distract the defenders. Wonder if swapping Dvorak or Evans in for Laine's line to get it going on even strength might help?

What a game!!! I have a question for yall. I don’t want to sound like a crazy delusional Habs fan but this is something I was thinking about at work. Realistically do you think lane Hutson as a rookie could be like top 15 in Norris votes? Like obviously I don’t think he is gonna win it that would be stupid to say but he might end this season with over 50 points as a rookie d-man. If they had the Norris vote extended so that you could see the top 15 or 20 d-men, do you think lane would be up there?

Celebrini will have something to say about that… Michkov, Celebrini and Wolf are the top 3 for me especially if Wolf can take Calgary to the playoffs.. At the same time tho Hutson is playing a lot of important minutes and he is scoring to almost get 59 points by the end of the season… I’m pretty sure PPG doesn’t matter for the Calder I think it’s who has the most points because if PPG mattered McDavid would have won lmao.

When will people realise the offense was never Montreal's issue, the blue line is weak, only 2 of the defensemen are doing the work, the rest should be sent back to the minors. Every time Savard is on the ice, they get scored on.

Minnesota doesn’t make that trade. We would have to add more to that. 2 young studs for a D who won’t play as good as he does offensively on another team, And Laine who is risky with injuries. If Laine is healthy why move him tho? Especially if he wants to be here and he doesn’t want a ridiculous contract… Habs need size on the wings and Laine is exactly what Montreal needs, Laine can score in the playoffs as well… Matheson we should trade, But Laine we should keep.
