@@megamonster1234 This is a good point. I think the bigger issue is the partisan nature of our current political environment. Many see politics as a team sport and only see winning as their side getting exactly what they want/not working with the other side. If we had a healthy two party system where there was honest debate and politicians worked in good faith for what is best for their constituents and nation we would be fine. I do believe one party is much more of the problem than others but will leave that alone ha.

Half the time you can debunk lies about Trump by simply watching the entirety of what he says unedited. Very fine people, bloodbath, animals, etc. all were fine in context for example. Just follow up on claims to verify if they're true.

When North Korea was engaging in nuclear missile tests over our allies, Trump used diplomacy as opposed to going to war and was able to get KIm Jung Un to back down. When Trump first took office, ISIS was capturing cities and villages almost daily in Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen. This was during the Obama administration. Trump told the Generals that you have a year to defeat the ISIS Califate and if you can't, we are bringing the troops home. They got the job done in less than a year and ISIS was no longer taking over cities and villages. We also didn't have Putin invading Ukraine when Trump was in office. There are nice neighborhoods. And the further north you go, the better they seem to get. The abandoned neighborhoods and crumbling homes are part of Detroit’s reputation and personality at this point. Those places have been gone for so long that it represents much the failed policies of the state and city, and partly the federal government.

@@faoulyslaughter3133 Tarrifs are not directly paid by US consumers. They are paid by, in this case, Chinese importers. Yes some companies will raise their prices to keep their profit margins, but if those companies calculate their savings if they manufacture in the US to have no tariffs, then by manufacturing in the US they will get greater tax deductions it makes sense to move manufacturing to the US, which creates jobs and helps GDP

@johna30 from American standpoint, it makes sense. But from a global standpoint...if I'm a company manufacturing outside US and if a consumer wants my product who lives within the US. Why would I, the manufacturer, open another company within another country. I'll be getting my money regardless from the distributing source upfront. Now if the distributor wants to charge the consumer more for my product that's between the consumer and the distributor that has nothing to do with me, the manufacturer. In fact, that's additional overhead for me, the manufacturer. So now the consumer is paying according to TRUMP 200% - 600% in tariffs that's not even including state sales tax. So again you're adding to inflation, and the only person suffering is me, the consumer. Meanwhile Trump just cut taxes for the Top 1%. Make it make sense so far it doesn't.
