I think they fail to realize that part of the point of his cheat meals is to eat so much that you feel sick so that you never want to eat that food again. This would help to resist cravings when dieting. Think about it as teaching yourself to associate junk food with negative experiences in order to stop yourself from eating junk food.

the point of a cheat day is for physiological reasons and to restore glycogen to the muscles. it can also boost your metabolism for a couple days. your co-worker is wrong. if your body is in a calorie deficit or "starvation mode", it will lose weight.

JH Piano For some people it is possible to eat so much like Takeru Kobayashi who was able to stretch his stomach to around 1/3 the size of his torso, which is helped by a genetic birth mutation causing his stomach to sit slightly lower in his body than the average person, but most likely the Rock does not eat all of this in one sitting. It's a cheat 'day' not cheat meal. People should not eat huge meals during one sitting, instead they should spread them out throughout the day. The average bodybuilder or athlete consumes 4-6 meals a day eating every 2 hours or so. This keeps the metabolism up, but overeating can strain your body's natural digestive processes causing it to push out a majority of the food as waste without pulling nutrients because it can only process certain amounts of food in 1-1.5 hours.
