★ RULES ★
-If a pokemon faints, it must be permanently placed inside PC Box
-Can only catch the first pokemon encountered in each route.
-Must nickname every pokemon caught (will be named after someone in House Fruit)
-Every wild pokemon encounter, static pokemon encounter, trainer pokemon, TM's, field items and abilities and are randomized
-No pokemon can exceed level of next gym leaders highest level (totem or captain for USUM)
-3 Items used in-battle per battle, unless a mon faints then item usage resets in that battle
-All Important Trainers have increased Pokemon count
-All Wild Pokemon Can Call Allies
-Can Decide To Take A Called Ally For Encounter (cannout purposefuly wait for Pokemon to call ally)
-Force Fully Evolved Trainer Pokemon At Lvl 40
-Ultra Necrozma Won't Be A Wipe
-If we white out/black out, we lose.
-Each encounter is paired with each other making them "soul linked"
-If one person fails to catch their encounter or knocks it out, the other person forfeits the encounter as well
-If one persons Pokemon in a soul link is put in the PC or knocked out than the other linked Pokemon must follow/share the same fate
-No repeat of primary types across both parties (1 pokemon pair may break this rule however)
-No pair may share the same primary typing
-Flying Pokemon may have either of their typing declared for their primary the moment they're caught and cannot change (since every flying type pokemon has flying as secondary rather than primary typing)
-Randomized fossils can be used as an extra encounter in the route the 2nd fossil half was found (both players will need to find 1 fossil for this to come into effect)
-A wild shiny encounter can always be caught and made into a new pair

A Revision of my calculations. I’ll run through each number. So to start we have this rough calculation. 1/(806 + forms) I’m not calculating each one, but let’s just say 25% have forms just like before and round it to 1/1000. This is the chance for you to find a single specific pokemon in a specific form. Each patch of grass has a separate pool, but let’s not account for human choice in this case. This would also remove the calculation used for the chance to choose the starters. There are 2 pokemon in fruit’s party that can evolve out of 2, while rob has only 1 of 2 that can evolve. And for this to happen on the third possible pokemon, that would be 1 in (72-2) = 70. Now how many encounters are within the grass in Hau’oli outskirts? There’s three. The most common having a 50% chance to appear. So we will use that. This leads us to the rough calculation. (1/1000)^2(2/2)(1/2)(1/70)(1/2). Which is the chance of finding a specific pokemon twice, legible pokemon in Mr fruit’s party, legible pokemon in Rob’s party, the fact this is the third encounter and also the first possible time it could happen, and the 50% chance if this is the most common pokemon in the grass. 1/(1000)^2(2)(70)(2) = 1 in 280,000,000. Which is a lot less than my initial calculation. Oops I was a bit excited and sleep deprived. It’s still 1 in 280 million which is insane. TLDR: I redid the calculations finding a lot of errors. Thank you to stone9351 and Starsoul_ for pointing out my mistake. Stats is not my strong suit. And I’m counting the next evolution not the entire evolutionary chain. Anyways disclaimer I’m just a uni student not a statistician so I could have this all wrong, but it was fun to do. If anyone is still reading yes this is about the thing at about 30:35. You use them in the Hau'oli Shopping Center to raise IV's to max after you beat Hala. Gold Bottle Caps raise all stats, while normal ones only do a single stat. Pixilate actually makes any move it turns into fairy type count as STAB even if the user isn't fairy type. And on top of that it also boosts the total damage by another 20% (multiplicative). So actually Bewear didn't loose STAB at all. In fact it now gets an 80% bonus on it's normal type moves, instead of the 50% it would get from regular STAB. So it's literally just a stronger STAB. Plus fairy is a significantly better offensive type compared to normal.

Hopefully you guys won't need this information but if you do end up having to restart the very first catch that is a 100% catch rate is a static encounter that doesn't take into account the pokemon found in the grass in that same area. So you can catch the static encounter and then immediately get the route encounter afterwards. It really helps with all the trainer battles right at the beginning. Steelix with furcoat is interesting. Using Base Stat equivalent formula. (Def 47 x 2 = 94) Math . Floor(((((94 / 1) - 5) / 10 x 100) - Math . Floor( 0/4) - 29) / 2) = 430. Results base 200 x 2 = 400. But since double attack stat. It’s effectively base 430 defense. Steelix IVs : 10-19 / 10-19 / 20-29/ 20-29 / 0-9 / 10-19. So that’s why I used 29.

Not including Megas, there are around 807 pokemon in USUM, if you have the same chance of finding ALL of the pokemon in ANY patch of grass, every pokemon has a .1238% chance of randomly showing up. I have no idea how many pokemon can show up in any patch of grass and i'm also not a math dude so i have no idea how to add odds together, so i looked up a calculator so i also have no idea if it's correct, BUT IF IT IS which it most likely isn't, the chance of you both running into those particular mons is around 0.01532%. Honestly i'd appreciate anyone better at match get a proper number but male or female name - Mage

A potential reason for all the same encounters and stuff it the selection of the pokemon. Sure, there are 800 mons you can find throughout the whole game. But, that is most likely split up between areas. So for example, say all the starters and early route encounters are a higher % chance of being found on island 1. That's why you find your starters and the same mons over and over again. So it would be essentially, 1/200 chance instead of your 1/800 chance. (Assuming that it's broken up into 1/4th across the whole game's map.) Just an idea that can break down how it works so you know "what are the odds" Also I don't think Marshadow is apart of this game, but if he is, a Marshadow named Asuna would be awesome ♥

This was the best first island run. Skarmory and haxorus are reversed in the overlay... and they have got to be one of the most cracked pairs you've ever had. Skarmory with one weakness eliminated is INSANE. It is just one of the best all time nuzlocke pokemon and it's paired with haxorus with an absolutely busted ability. If rob can find a healing move for haxorus... and pure dragon is *chefs kiss* Dragon ascent is mega rayquazas signature move btw

This series has been a perfect example of players playing phenomenally well, even Rob being noob rank, but still playing so well, just getting screwed over by horrible circumstances. The RNG of Pokemon is a fickle thing. I mean hitting a new run and immediately hitting a random ability Archeops (which is OP) with all your mons being weak to it is laughable.

I’ve gotta say that the level cap rule might need to be tweaked with it being a randomized nuzlocke. Maybe still not be able to use said Pokémon once it goes past it, but you can use it once you reach the next main fight? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Not exactly that wording, but something along those lines. EDIT: The level cap mod would be a great idea if you can get some help with that!
