A wonderful new project for you 2 together, I think a lot of sweat will flow with the refurbishment of this very poorly maintained home. Fortunately, I also see a jewel hidden in this ruin, but what a challenge. As for the videos yet to be shot, you could consider a spin-off, then alternate every other week with a new video of your own paradise in the making. I hope you enjoy working together on this project and look forward to seeing the progress.

I like a yard , but ! I love that house ! I cas see the baloney with bougainvillea draping down the exterior walls from that balcony ❣️ also the roof , I'd do the tin insulated sheets with v-luxs or polycarbonate panels to let light into house or even the solar tubes ? I don't like the stark alley to the garage door but some wall planters or trellises could pretty that up 🥰 Oh yes it does have a courtyard nice and private 🥰

Hello Andrew🙂 What a surprise on your latest instalment of “Real Algarve Living” buying another renovation project🏡 I have been living in the Algarve for sixteen years. I would love to have my own home, but I would not want so much work 🤦♀️ I don’t think I would want to be so close to the road either. By what you showed, in the film, it does look like a quiet place. Great, that you see the real beauty in those floor tiles. Good luck 🍀I will be looking forward to the next episode.👩

Lovely property, with a bit of imagination this can be turned into a fabulous property encouraging its original beauty. I have absolutely no idea of prices but may I suggest that instead of lifting the celing in the cellar, you lower the floor. It would be a pity to loose the arch. This is a personal note, but I do not mind at all the lower ceilings, I actually find it cozy and enveloping. Not all are tall. The patio upstairs is on the wrong side of the house, the view cannot be enjoyoed from there. It would be interesting in redesigning the fallen roof top and turn that into a patio. Since the center of the house needs light, maybe a glass enclosed staircase ? there must be a way of leaving space for light to come through. I am jealous of this endevour and wish you the best of luck, hopefully one day I will come across a home such as this. I agree with you that once the backyard is cleared, it has the makings of a small garden, and as you said with all the countryside just outside, all that is needed is some outside space to sit in, it need not be large. Best of luck and I look forward to your video on the transformation of this petit villa.
