Ive got a 342BHP mk2 st. On the motorway i get 38-40mpg. Town driving im around 18mpg

I know the video is a year old, but just a thought regarding the initial mpg. Trip computers often show a low mpg when the car has been static for a while. Then the mpg figure showing on the trip will gradually rise as the car is used eg 24 mpg to say 32 a couple of weeks later 🤔. Anyway, really enjoyed this video and all the others. I'm a driving Instructor and these keep me company at the test centre when my pupils are out doing their practical test 🙂🚗.

The rs clutch slips straight in. A remapped 225 will slip so the clutch is probably an rs one. They are pretty much "on/off" in terms of feel.

Thanks for the comment Oliver - it does have the RS clutch and you are spot on about it being 'on/off', but still very driveable. Stay tuned as lots of little jobs to do on the ST.

Nice Focus, seems like it got all the right technical mods, nothing wrong with a nicely modded car. My own hobby car is technically heavily modded but looks almost standard on the outside.

Thanks for the comment. I like them to look standard, even if under the skin are some modifications. I have to say this modified ST is much improved on the standard car, albeit I really like the ST in standard form too. Going to be doing a few jobs on our ST, so stay tuned.

22.6 mpg and 38.9 on the motorway, And in 4 years I've had 2 maf sensors 1 crank sensor and 1 alternator.

@@cornishcarcollectors Mine is modified, around 280 bhp, still getting a constant 22.6 and 38.9 mpg, I reckon you were getting at least 35 mpg on that last leg.

I have a st2 and I rather have your spec any day over mind but I have a spare wheels and the foam unless someone bought that in past, the cloth seats are the best to hold you in a lot more

Looks like you picked up a half decent one, I love these cars In fact I've owned 2 MK2 FRS and I'm currently on my 4th MK2 ST all my ST's have been PFL 2 ST2's & 2 ST3's my current one is a Moondust Silver ST3 with just one previous owner from new. Cool car, but very bizarre spec for an ST-1! Adding the sunroof, auto lights and sculpted bench makes me wonder why they didn’t just go for an ST-2?! Then it’d have the xenon lights too (though that might be personal preference). That rear bench is a very rare option in the cloth, though all the ST-3’s had it with the leather. Good buy overall, Colorado red was my second choice behind the Electric Orange i have now.

Also the stereo is the upgraded one from the ST-2, and the heated front windscreen is an option they’ve ticked too!

@Cornish Car Collectors the only down side on mine is the mileage at 160k but driving it you wouldn't even think it had done that many miles still definitely worth investing in though

Definitely best colour but i would say that i own a red 3 door as well lol mines got standard top and lower grills but i prefer the ones on yours, also because the airbox has been removed and that's where the ecu used to live check how the ecu has been relocated, some people just tie wrap them out of the way but if they move or drop onto the starter motor it can fry the ecu. when i got new air filter it came with a holder that the ecu screws into and the holder sits in the holes for the old airbox. I went with the Volvo S60r clutch which i believe aren't as harsh but are still uprated to take more power. Mine still makes me smile every time i drive it even after 2 years of owning it so have fun.

The aftermarket grilles do look good, but my preference is changing it back to standard... I just need to find the grilles, which is proving harder than I thought! Great colour and smart wheels.just never really liked the style of this model tho,i think the mk 1 focus looked a lot more stylish.i do allways prefer higher speck cars tho meself and i have to have leather on my seats.that engine sounds nice tho.glad you gettin rid of them awful red badges.hope it keeps going well for you.

@@boabm6522 give MK Bodyshop in Plymouth a call as they are very good and sensible money. My car did not require a full paint, only both bumpers and one side. Each car is different - give them a call.
