For the original price of around $50 a night the campground is defiantly worth it. I think that if you had sewer at your site then defiantly worth the price of $69 ish. The pricing should be for 4 people and adding an extra 16 per person is high. We are from MA. The campgrounds in New England are pricy. But, they have amenities. I do like the rustic state or federal park feel and the wolf preserve. Very cool. Also love the lack of pine trees. (BTW hand sanitizer gets sap off very well). Thank you for the review.

Thank you for another great review. I am on the fence about prices even here in North Dakota. Jason is an adult yet preteens can cause issues that adults don’t. Only 1 KOA so they charge what they want with their own rules. Soon to be 14 state park campgrounds here all with same fees. Not into boon-docking and probably can’t afford resorts (Rv may be too old anyway). Part time camping with some nature surroundings is my style. Just finished a three weekday camp at a CoE at Garrison Dam North Dakota. Be safe have fun happy birthday MJ & Jason

$69/night doesn’t sound too bad when compared to some of the California prices that we pay !!😊 Our Lippert Scouts group raised over $5K last year for the Grizzly and Wolf center near Yellowstone. A few of us got a private tour of the center which was very fascinating!

First, Happy Birthday MJ. I looked at this CG for 1 night returning from New England. At that price should be FHU. I don’t like nickel/dime. Extra fees mean you are not managing your CG. I chose a Harvest Host for 1 night. There are other choices. Peace and quiet is important but not at $79/night.

We prefer wilderness campgrounds like this one, but the extra $16 charge is a bit over the top. Most of the State/Local park campgrounds in our area are in the mid 30's to low 40's per night for electric and water with an onsite dump station. We recently stayed at a state recreation area that borders a lake here in Indiana for eight nights for $30/night. However, the site was electric only and they had hydrants that you could temporarily hook to for filling your fresh water tank, and a dump station on the way out. It was not as much a wilderness campground as we prefer, but it was acceptable. The big draw for us was we brought our pontoon and hit the lake every day that we were here.

We stayed there last weekend. It is the 2nd time we stayed there. It was not busy then. Although they told us for the 4th they were pretty full. I have to agree with MJ. It is so peaceful! We had one other camper in our area. We stayed at campsite 71. We did have a deer and 3 fawns and a bear come to our site. Which I have to say was pretty cool. The Lakota Wolf preserve was definitely worth the trip. Not sure if you did any of the Delaware Water Gap. It's a beautiful drive and there are a thousand hikes. There were only two of us. So I did not know about the additional guest price. I definitely agree with Izzy. The peace and quiet and being one with nature made it a lovely weekend.

Have not been or heard of both of them. Yes the nickel an time really turns me off. There camp grounds that say it is a family camp ground but if you have more than “x” amount of people it is extra also there also camp grounds that are charging EXTRA for pets which is BS . Like KOA’s with there cabins they have different sizes an you pay more for bigger ones but on top of that they charge more for more people which doesn’t make sense because you already pay more for a bigger cabin. It is getting out of hand plus the extra things like games , lazy river, games, golf carts rental , etc. at the camp ground are extra . Thanks

I'm totally annoyed by the extra fees, recently our aunt came with us and it was unexpected, we stayed at a campground in Maine and if you didn't disclose the additional people at booking it was and extra charge above the additional person fee. Looks like old school rustic minimal amenities, better they started at 65 and gave a 10% or some discount. Also, in my opinion, people travel as a family. I prefer campgrounds that price includes 4 people. Like you said, how much water did he use? It's ridiculous and takes away from the stay when stuff like that happens.
@Luv2camp3162 ай бұрын
Exactly. We just went back to a favorite campground. New management added a $10 fee for each vehicle that came in INCLUDING the tow vehicle. Seriously? How do they think my travel trailer is going to get there? What’s next? Maybe a water hook up fee? Or perhaps a fire ring use charge?

It isn’t nice enough that I’d pay that much. Actually, we wouldn’t pay that much for any campground. The expensive resorts are too full of lights, people and noise, and no wilderness site is worth that price. We will stick to the state and national parks when traveling, or we’ll just boondock. Hubs and I are in our 80s, he is a disabled veteran, and I am a disabled retired RN. We get a great discount at the state and national parks, and our home state of Florida has such great ones we don’t need to travel outside the state. With all the crime in other ones, we have no desire to go to any others. Ya’ll have fun, be safe, and say howdy when you come see us! Thanks, MJ nd Izzy! Love you guys! ❤

Camp grounds charging more than $45 a night have better be full hookups. The rates have gone up COVID and post COVID. Some have gone up a bunch. What I am seeing is a bunch of campgrounds at $60+. Now, you notice how the campground is somewhat empty? What I think is happening is, people are paying big money for their rigs (truck/trailer), gas, insurance, costs for food, etc...Camping is now gotten very expensive for a weekend get away. Also, more campgrounds have popped up over the last few years. I think you will see campgrounds coming down on rates as so many I have seen, are only 1/3 to half full on any given weekend. I think as a lot of the people have gotten into camping during the last 8 or so years, they have found the expense, work, and stress of hoping nothing goes wrong, is not worth the effort. I believe many have migrated back to hotels/motels and resorts for the ease of travel and about the same money. Just my opinion.

Other than it takes a little longer to “top off the tank” if on the road, our Tesla is better than any car in its class that is currently on the market. From technology , speed, handling, build quality, cost to operate and reliability. So far 24,000 miles 0 issues. All we do is rotate the tires, fill the washer fluid when it runs low and plug in at night. An American company made in America & it cost us less than a Honda accord.

@@EndlessRVing I am glad you have had 0 issues. I also worked as a FD LT and LEO SGT. Part of out jurisdiction was also on an interstate. My lack of confidence with electric and hybrid vehicles comes from working crashes, disabled vehicles and car fires (I have never owned one). Also when traveling I have seen more than the occasional EV stuck at broken, non functioning and or vandalized Tesla charging station. The electric cars always seem to need more water on them in a fire and body panels cut by FD for safety. I have also seen more EV's needed to be towed from vandalized or non working charging stations. I have also had a local tow operator decline an EV owners business stating it was their policy (due to their company's lack of training with EV's). So for now I just do not have the confidence. BTW my brother owns a Tesla and he loves it.

Arriving on scene, officers found the burning battery electric vehicle pinned between two barriers on the overpass. Officers first tried to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher, but when it became clear the fire was not going to go out, the officers decided to bust out the driver's side window. "Stand back, I'm breaking the window," Officer Edwardo Hernandez can be heard saying on the video. The officer then used a metal breaching tool to smash the car window and pulled the injured driver out, Fox4 reports. “I noticed it was a Tesla, but I did not take into account right then and there that this was a battery, an electric vehicle,” Hernandez told WFAA. “It was just rekindling, starting to flare back up.” “Eventually from my understanding the car burned all the way down to its frame,” he said.
