Back when John McCain & Lyndsey Graham were smoozing with the a,,,,z....o...v battalions. And their visit was shown on our mainstream media. Russel was a local hero. Nothing like what they now try to depict. He reached out to help those in distress. He helped those whose homes and places were shattered by the bombs of Kiev. He was a mix between a war journalist and a distress helper. Not someone who fought Putins war. Yes he became a Russian citizen, but followed his calling to help ordinary people. Whether bringing food, repairing something damaged. Helping with transporting or moving people to get somewhere when they were stuck. He worked without being financially compensated. This man was like saint.

Во время ВОВ польские военные, сохранившие лояльность "правительству в изгнание", что было в Лондоне, были переправлены в Иран (мне кажется, в том числе и через СССР) в Иран, который в тот момент, насколько я помню, был под оккупацией (или как они это называли?) Британии. Из них и была сформирована Армия Крайова. Вполне возможно, что их в Иран переправляли с семьями, так что, да, Иран принял польских беженцев. Учитывая, что нынешняя Польша пишет свою историю из тех корней, странно, что кто-то в вашем правительстве не в курсе собственной истории.

I talked to him a few weeks before his disappearance, and I was supposed to meet him in Donetsk to show me around how could I help the people who needs it the most. Then he went quiet. I heard about his disappearance after doing a search, but his wife on VK has not confirmed his death yet. Well, not the last time I checked. So, this news is quite surprising and devastating.
