Today's Magic: the Gathering challenge at Magiccon Amsterdam is a daring one! MTG is all about trading so Carl, Jamin and Thoralf gave 200 players the Cardmarket challenge of trading a Colossal Dreadmaw (A green budget Magic Card) and trade it up for prizes and glory on the channel.

It was really cool how the two most successful traders strategized to actually add value to the Dreadmaw trade, but in completely different ways. One used the "value" of being in a Cardmarket video and the other did some fantastic artwork to make the cards more desirable! Two completely different approaches with the same core concept!

I had a friend way back in the day who hustled trades at a Grand Prix for 8 hours. He started with $100 in fetchlands and ended up with Mox Jet, Mox Emerald and Time Walk. I think it was about $1200 in cards at that time. His brain was so fried by the end of the day that when I asked him how he did it, he just stared at his binder and said "I have no idea."

Wow, such a cool concept, very good execution, and as always, top notch edition. This video is an absolute banger, love it. Congrats to the winners, very impressive, the only thing is that i believe this video is so good that the colossal dreadmaws used here are collections pieces (on top of being a colossal dreadmaw) so they traded pretty down, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do for content. This week has been rough, is not easy for me to put in words the change in my mood that this awesome video meant. You guys are not that different from the winner themselves, just add value to something much simpler with creativity and you'll be able to turn an ad for cardboard pieces into something worth being trade for. 0:30 The story i'd heard for Dreadmaw's fame is how much it got printed. After being printed in Ixalan (September 2017), it was reprinted in Rivals of Ixalan (4 months later), then in Masters 25 (2 months after that), then again in Core Set 2019 (4 months after that!). This had people joking that the reason for its reprint was its crazy power.

You guys should give a "colossal dreadmaw" to a lot of people at an event and have them play against each other by betting them. At the end of the day you could reward the person who has accumulated the most dreamaws, or you could make a cardmarket stand where dreadmaws are used like currency to obtain special prizes
