'64 was a GREAT year! Great Strats were made, the Rolling Stones first album hit, the Beatles send their careers skyrocketing via the Ed Sullivan appearance, The Ford Mustang was born, A Fistful of Dollars began the Spaghetti Western craze, Goldfinger debuted, Anderton's was born, I was born. 'Nuff said.

Remember that we all have our licks. The Captain is just lucky enough to have a signature lick that we all know! If we were in his shoes our licks would come out too. If you analyze Charlie Parker’s solos you’ll discover he had only something like 32-33 licks that he arranged over every song. I don’t use different words every time I speak and I’m not gonna play new licks every time I play either. It’s how you use those words and notes that’s interesting! So Rock on Captain because I myself like your licks!

@Mark Seymour cheers man. Of course - where I live the weather's been going hot cold dry wet a ton and throwing my necks all out of wack. Not convenient and not great for the screw holes to have to keep taking the neck off to make guessing adjustments. Seems like this, as a holdover is just a silly one when easy solutions exist. To argue otherwise is pretty much a non-starter.

For me, the '61 far and away. And that says more about the '61 than this '64 because the '64 still sounds and looks fantastic. But that '61-- in either the green or the blue -- made me all warm and fuzzy and tingly. 🙂 Wish I could afford one of those. Also, I may have missed it, but I would love to see a quick shot of each of your pedal boards during your guitar demos.

The guitar sounds great but you'd have to be a tool to want a relic'd guitar. Build that guitar and skip the relic process and you've got something very appealing. Relic it and you're marketing it to tools. But since there are plenty of tools with money out there, I'm sure these will sell just fine.
