to me - first steps in post guitar eq are: 1. high & low cut 2. more precise high resonant freq cuts 3. musical enhancing guitar sound in full mix context

The 57 is still somehow the best for guitar, damn. Sure there are situations and situations but damn, ol' reliable remains reliable. Probably the most pivotal mic anyone should have, you can record entire albums with it alone.

There is some whistling frequency, around 2 kHz I think, on the SM57 recording that I am so annoyed Andrew didn't take out 😅😅

There is something whistling with every mic and it really annoyed me that nothing was mentioned.

there is nothing wrong with tried and true and maybe tired gears like the SM57 and V30 if you can make bangers.
