I was on the edge of my seat wondering how sauteing garlic and vegies would work but it worked out fantastically. Great job Katie. I was also thinking you could of saved a little of the hot pasta water and added it to the pasta and sauce. It would have heated up the sauce a bit and made it a little creamier. Clever challenge. 🤗

When I lived in at my college we were only allowed a kettle toaster and sandwich toaster we cooked loads of things in the kettle we had a dinner hall to get proper meals but it wasn’t the nicest

I’ve been cooking red lentil pasta for a while by pouring boiling water from the kettle over them in a glass bowl. It’s great for time saving and saves some pennies!

You guys did it again 👏 🙌 Would love a part two of making food in a kettle as some people don't have similar kettles to yours on the inside. Hope it helps others. I saw a video today about Mickey Mouse and how some tea cups have Mickey written in them but the reflection in the Tea reads Wicked. Also, that the cartoon Mickey Mouse is somewhat disturbing if you watch the older videos of Mickey (minstrel show). Just thought I'll share that with you 😮

Couscous is awesome to use just using kettle as you put coucouscous with seasoning into a bowl then pour over boiling water and then put a plate over top for 5-10mins.

Secondly, trying to ask them to choose your meals will be hilarious plus you may find new things to try and finally you might make new friends :P

Hahaha! 🎉 Great video idea, the pasta in the flask was a fantastic energy saving tip. 👏 My only concern was frying in the kettle for a few reasons. Your kettle looks to be a higher end range with a stainless steel interior and no elements, but for anyone who has a cheaper model, ie made of plastic like mine and has an element which runs down to the base on the inside, I expect food for sure would get trapped behind the element. Also with plastic kettles plastic seems to absorb and retain strong food flavours, I know this as when I descale my kettle, boiling water with lemon, it takes a little while for the flavour of lemon to go away. The last thing is my kettle has a minimum fill level, because you're meant to completely submerge the base plate heating element with at least a cup full of liquid, maybe that's why yours cut out? 🤷 Anyway really fun video, thanks guys! 😁🍜💜

Could of made a nice couscous salad, as you just need to poor boiling water over the couscous and let it sit to absorb the water. Also rice noodles would of been good they also just need to be soaked in boiling water. Or rice paper rolls.

It's not what people recommend. But I have always put the pasta in the water and boil them both together on the stove top or microwave anyway. I have always thought it was a waste of time and energy to boil the water first. Everything always turns out just fine!
