Imagine being able to go there and hear that beast in action. Would be a happy day. Smelling that smoke as it's crushing mmmm fuck yeah
@alvintorres8787Ай бұрын
I've been to a salvage yard where the same type of crusher would force itself to go all the way down regardless of what was in it. I told one of the workers "Wow, that thing really crushes those junkers" He replied "yeah, but it breaks down often" I figured there wasn't a hydraulic by-pass valve, or it didn't work, or it worked off a switch when the ram hit bottom. The ram had a bad bow in it, and it looked pretty worn. There is a risk of blowing a seal or hose. I had that happen to me, I had to help move with a 4000lb forklift I used to help move an 8-ton gearbox, well it didn't work out well. We had one big forklift on one side, while I had to get on the other side with the smaller forklift to help move it. I wound up bending a fork and caused a hydraulic seal leak. I was told to get on that smaller forklift, I was a contractor at the time at a big manufacturing facility.

If you don't mind me asking, what is Zoobecks?
@autorecyclers9154Ай бұрын
Zoobecks was a local pet store that was a fixture in our town. It burned down years ago.

Man that was a blast to watch that van get crushed by that beastly detroit diesel. Do you think you could squeeze them old school buses in there? Hehe
@autorecyclers9154Ай бұрын
An old bus as long as it can get started in there will go. Usually we have to taper the roof to get it through the funnel to the crush block, once it starts into the crush block it will taper itself. Thank you for watching and commenting

Hopefully no old Mopars get crushed. I could always use spare parts and sheet metal.
@autorecyclers9154Ай бұрын
No, we don't crush any older vehicles even if they are very parted out. Even the van we pulled the engine, transmission, and rear end out of it before crushing it. Plus we have many more of the Dodge vans in better shape. I have a nice one that is complete in great shape to sell whole. Call, text, or email with any part requests and we can see if we have the parts you need. Thank you for watching and commenting

Yes, it was kind of a fixture in our town. It was not in great shape and we have many more that are in better shape. We pulled most of the good parts engine, transmission, rear end, and miscellaneous body parts before crushing it. Other than the cool old paint there was nothing left.
