The home I purchased in 2023 has appreciated by $60,000 since my acquisition. However, the downside is the diminishing value of the dollar. I am currently contemplating strategies to reinvest $300,000 in the real estate market.

Right, I delegate my day-to-day investing to an advisor ever since suffering a major steep-down late 2019, amid rona-outbreak, and as of today, I'm semi-retired with barely 25% short of my $1m retirement goal after subsequent investments.

Mr. White Taxes aren't bad here. Lots of good comes out of it. No bankruptcies claimed here to pay off medical bills. Our housing prices are around the same in comparable size cities. Products tend to be a little more here due to smaller market size. I'll gladly pay a little more in taxes to ensure my fellow citizens are looked after in their time of need, for I might be the one to need it tomorrow. In this together.

A lot of people are saying that Dave thinks women should stay home. I have heard calls where Dave has told women with children that they should get a job . Especially, when they say that they don't want their husbands working a lot. He answers the family in the way they want to live. So for this family his answer was basically if your decision is for the mom to stay home, then, he needs to make up for her not working.

You see those scams all the time using some famous name from DIY or HGTV network promoting a free seminar in the area. Then it is a high pressure sales pitch to make you spend as much as they can get out of you. Robert Kyosaki had his name tied into one of those scams. They did not do this for a real estate license. @@jacobw6530 I had to revisit the video, but depending where you are on the amortization schedule it might be more prudent to keep the house. A tragic case. The only thing I'm not sure about in Dave's advice is him saying not to pay the credit cards just yet. That debt is costing them probably $9,000 a year just in interest. If they sell the rental house and get rid of most of the CC debt, they find themselves with a ton of extra cashflow. Except for what they lost by giving up the rental income - d'oh! Still, the rental house can't have been that huge a monthly income for them, as they are paying a mortgage and property taxes on that thing - it's probably more like an investment for their retirement. At present, the surplus income from the house, if there is any, is paying their credit card interest. But by the time they've traded down the 4-Runner, adjusted their lifestyles, and got some extra work, they should be on the right side. Shouldn't they?
