We did not expect to find this in Bangkok! A fast pace, nerve wracking, energizing street food market that has a train running through it will surely get your heart racing! Today we venture to a market that has a reputation of being dangerous and we literally did not expect this type of atmosphere. Especially after the pandemic! Crowds of people drove an hour away from Bangkok to witness this train street market which is actually a normal working market turned into tourist extravaganza! We then ventured to the oldest floating market in Bangkok and ate some delicious snacks and had a little tour on a paddle boat! Such an awesome and fun experience in Bangkok! What did you think? We highly recommend doing this tour. It was loads of fun and would definitely do that again!

This railway line is world famous for Umbrella Market just before arriving at Maeklong station. It is also cheap too if my memory holds, it costs about 15 baht or 40 US cents. You begin the trip from Wong Wian Yai (Big Circle) station on the Thonburi side of Bangkok. At the middle of the Big Circle is the statute of King Taksin the Great who led Thai troops to drive out Burmese invaders from Ayutthaya. However, the former capital of Thailand was burnt down, thus King Taksin decided to establish a new capital on Thonburi side of Chao Phraya River (River of King). Wong Wian Yai is about 5 km from Memorial Bridge (King Rama I bridge), the first bridge built across Chao Phraya in the reign of King Rama VII about 100 years ago.

A place similar to this one can be found in Vietnam. Hanoi's train street was regarded as the most dangerous tourist attraction. Unfortunately, tourists were banned in October 2019. It's famous for its narrowest railroad between houses on both sides, with only a 20-centimeter gap between the train and the houses. I'm not surprised why the Vietnamese authorities strictly forbid the public from visiting this place.
