Watching you make bread from scratch reminds me of my dad's bread making days. He had showed me how but the written recipes are lost only fragments of them exist in my memory. Your videos have brought back those days from long ago I can even remember the aroma of fresh baked bread and how great homemade bread made our garlic stew. Hi. I am from Ohio USA. I really love your videos. All of them. Your recipe is very simple and bread is very delicious. My grandmother used to make bread, my mother used to make bread, and now I am making bread. I did bake some of them, and they turned out to be wonderful. I don't understand the guy who is complaining about your recipe being complicated and that sifting flour is not necessary. All the professional bakers sift their flour. I would love to see his simple bread recipe video. That would be interesting. Maybe he does not know what fluffy bread is. Hmmmm. That's all I can say. Please don't take offense with this but you young girls now days confuse me. I have been baking bread for more than 50 years and it seems to me that there are so many unnecessary steps added to basic bread recipes now. I have never sifted my flour but my bread has always been light and fluffy. Only if you have high humidity causing clumping in the flour can I understand the need. I always hand shape my own rolls and loaves. The only time I flatten with a rolling pin and roll them up is when I am making cinnamon rolls or bread. I have never pinched any seams, just put the seam side down in my bread pans. Once my bread is baked I turn them out onto a wire rack immediately and butter the top of my loaves. Once they cool enough to handle I can either use a serrated knife or my electric knife and slice if someone prefers nice warm bread. I have made some different recipes that have specific instructions but the basic white/wheat bread is very simple.

They add more steps and move very slowly to make the video longer so the make more money. This is why I prefer the Asian cooking channels on KZbin they're quick and to the point. A lot of the European channels are "content farms".

@@morganm6531 Good point. There are a few I have seen who do things in a 'real' way but they are generally older ladies. My Grandpa taught me when I was young that there is no need to use a clean bowl to let my bread raise. Add a little oil and use the same bowl & by the time it's raised it cleans the bowl-and uses full ingredients. Little things like that and never using a spatula to get the full ingredient bug me. I'm always looking for a channel with all the ways to cut waste and give practical advice to make things easier yet taste fantastic. I told my daughter I may be just old & ornery. She said, nope, just real! Thanks for adding your comment. I've wanted to say something for ages but didn't know if anyone else felt the same way!

Love it! Nowadays in the world we live in, it’s hard to know just what exactly you’re getting from the store!… Even something as simple as bread! With all the GMO wheat and high fructose corn sugar and whatever else is added. So I believe it’s best to make your own food whenever you can, or grow your own vegetables! My oldest daughter cannot eat any bread or wheat products without having some sort of health reaction, but when she went to Spain, Portugal, & Italy, she could eat all the bread she could find without any adverse effects. So that tells me there is something our country’s food industry is doing with our wheat products….inspiration to bake my own bread!
