I'm a Chinese person living in Canada. My car had some minor scratches on two doors and the front and rear bumpers, and I needed to repaint them and replace a side mirror cover. I paid CAD 15,500 for this at Mercedes-Benz, which is approximately RMB 82,500. I sent photos of the damage to a friend who works at Mercedes in China. He told me that the cost to repair this car in China would be RMB 3,500, which is about CAD 660. If done at an auto repair shop instead of a Mercedes dealership, it would cost RMB 1,200, around CAD 226. However, despite such a significant price difference, it doesn’t seem to change Canadians' confidence in dealing with inflation. So, where is all the money going for Canadians?

So far we haven't been hit by a 3 wheeler but apart from that our experience seems similar to yours. Our cruise control must be the next version up from yours though. We agree with your impressions. We wouldn't swap it. It's terrific for our semi-rural use, perfect for our long range commuting, we've not yet used the inbuilt guitar strings. @mondotv42163 ай бұрын
Well I completely disagree about it being more refined in the Australian model. For a start I want to adjust my cruise control in 1km/h increments, not 5. Secondly it cannot keep a consistent speed - it constantly moves 2-3km/h down or a km or 2 -3 up depending on the slope of the road before it eventually gets back to the set speed - if traffic in front slows down, it's super slow to react to traffic moving back up to speed which frustrates drivers behind. Lane keep assist is OK but I find I can't rely on it in ACC. I suppose it's unfair to compare it to my Model 3 (which is light years ahead), so instead I'll compare it to my old 2014 Outlander PHEV which I sold in 2022. It had radar ACC that was way more intuitive to use and pretty much rock solid on speed, quick to react and never let me down. Sure I had to steer but I never had to worry about my speed. Oh and the cameras on my Atto 3 are great. However, I can only sign in to the app on one device at a time which I find frustrating and the app is very basic compared to the Tesla.

No problems with my backup camera, I like it. I've gotten almost 15km/kW in cities, great as far as I'm concerned. The BYD has a worldwide reputation for being an excellent vehicle that is very sturdy and well supported by the company. However, you get A LOT of racist hate about these vehicles because they are Chinese made coming almost exclusivelyout of the U.S. There was no other reason for the criticism. Nothing concrete for people to actually examine was ever mentioned. The newer BYD vehicles have U.S. tariffs of 100% (some even say approaching 200%) to prevent those vehicles from spreading here after pressure from Elon Musk. But people in the U.S. are being ripped off with domestic vehicle cost. It reminds me of when the SOP for American car companies was planned obsolescence. That is until Toyota and Honda started kicking ass and Lee Iococca ran to Uncle Sam to stop the cars from flooding the U.S. market. Americans were undergoing a financial crisis at the time and affordable reliable cars were what was needed and the government didn't care. This is why you have U.S. pickup trucks today approaching six figures. Americans need those trucks for work but they are being taken advantage of by manufacturers who wave the flag in our faces while not offering reasonable value. Buy what fits your budget and is reliable. Take care of yourself and your family.

I hear you, man. I have multiple herniated disks, so I'm very sensitive when it comes to lumbar support. I find the seats in the Yuan Plus to be fine, but I still use an orthopedic pad for long trips (or a rolled up a pair of shorts, which sometimes works just as well). The only cars I can honestly say never give me back pain are the Germans. I remember spending two hours stuck in traffic in a BMW X7 and then getting out feeling fresh as a daisy. I was blown away.

Camera quality has to be the oddest of all "complaints". Every single other car review channel praised their quality...🤷i personally found it to be quite good when i tested it, much better than my Mazda for sure.

Older VWs, the air cooled ones had metal .94 mm thick. Your wrong about the dashboard of the "Atto 3" is so ugly that i cannot stomach buying one, or any byd for that matter, what i want really is a baojun cloud, but im in Australia, and i dont know if saic will send them here.
@kito16923 ай бұрын
I think you can give up. SGM(Baojun's parent company)'s situation is very bad, so they probably won't have the energy to export vehicles to the Oceania market
