Thanks to Jerry, who we’re pretty sure is a descendant of Ken Miles from Ford VS Ferrari, we found out what was wrong with Randy’s Ford GT. To say the least, it was shocking. This could have been a serious disaster resulting in something far worse than a destroyed car. Jerry and the rest of the Savage work through the rest of the night to try and fix the Ford GT in time to film with Tim (shmee150). If the car doesn’t work, there’s going to be a problem…

Luckily if the fuel was covering the connector when it got hot it wouldnt have caught fire. Its only that vapor/fumes that are truly flammable. But if the fuel level was low enough to expose the connector to fumes and air, watch out!

I had a similar issue in my mustang GT 2006 3valve engine I thought it was the fuel pump aswell changed it with a brand new one but the old pump was fine changed the cam sensors thinking it could be that but did not help I had to change the cam phaser for one of the cams it solved the problem same exact issue would run good upto 3.5k rpm then stutter like it wants fuel.
