Don’t forget we also support American Moms and Beer!! I think some companies are taking notice and making the right steps. Spyderco just had a leg up cuz they have always had their radar on steel developments and have been passionate about it. It’s damn near impossible to buy everything American made. Every time I watch you I learn more about my hobby and also how much I still don’t know. You are an excellent representative for this community, and I support you completely. I also want to support US products. I’m a proud veteran and believe in this country’s potential for greatness. I also see how we can fall flat and suffer because of our own failings. Like you I don’t have a lot of disposable income. I’m disabled, so I rely on saving my Pennie’s and gifts from family to grow my collection. I also find delayed gratification to be enjoyable. Good thing, eh? All that said, I do own a lot of Chinese made knives, because I wanted to have them. Civivi makes some fun, interesting knives like the Hid and the Sendy which I just bought with Christmas gift cards. But I really want some rex121 and some 15v, so I’ve put in my 2025 requests with my long suffering, but lovely wife and we’ll see what happens. If I can swing an American product over China I will, but I think (sorry if this is controversial) that competition makes us better. Some of our guys have gotten sloppy and expensive, but you show us where we’re shining and I think that will drive the dollars over to those companies like spiderco and the scrawny lumberjack who are really rocking it. You are the real diamond in the rough here, and I’m glad to see people appreciating you. You deserve the attention. I hope you get many more knives for review and testing. My sharpening has improved significantly because of your information, so thanks for sharing.❤

I am Italian and on the first go around Spyderco 15v with pm2, manix2 and shaman I was unable to buy even one. Today instead I own a pm3 lightweight that I find fantastic for its lightness and steel quality. Spyderco, strong of this success, should use it on other models (re-propose it on pm2, manix2 and shaman) such as sage 5, endura, endela and why not I would like it on the kapara. Do you think they will ever do it in the future? Greetings and congratulations on the channel.

I'm happy Spyderco reduce their practice for limited runs with a few hundreds and they are gone in like 2-3 minutes when dropped. Now the LW Para 3 lasted quite some time, rex 121 will be permanent in the catalogue, hopefully and the 15v will follow. Corporate greed pump the prices, in Europe the energy cost are crazy, the salary might be a bit lower than some places in the states, but the energy quickly make it more expensive and we say it is normal to be expensive as it is USA made, while forget that European brands they have to import Crucible and Carpenter steels and pay taxes and transport.

Pocket Check for me is the Kubey Dandy in S90V, the Ferrum Forge Allurus in CPM 20CV, the Civivi Conspirator in NITRO-V, the MiniBuck Tool in who knows what Stainless steel, the Olight Baton 3.3 green and gold and a no name wallet. Oh, and a space pen, 5X magnifying glass and a bick lighter. Carrying the Allurus and Conspirator because they were birthday gifts from my son and family and my wife and I are attending a birthday celebration for my son this evening. Guess I have a pocket full of Chinese made stuff, but at least the steel is USA.

LOL @ "crustier than your mother" 😆. My mom wants you to know that she's "crispy"...not "crusty" lol. Maybe with these crazy hard steels you could just do some sort of follow up addendum video like a few weeks after your initial knife review when the knife finally needs to be sharpened. A good problem to have tho, right?! It's so awesome that the USA made fixed blades and folders you've been showing are of such high quality! Politics aside, I don't have anything against Chinese made stuff whatsoever, and think that they're capable of doing some incredible machining work (i.e. high end Swiss Made luxury wrist watch brands like Rolex and Omega have been sourcing parts from China on the DL for years now) and the Jack Wolf knives speak for themselves with just how precise and well made they are. Beijing's physical infrastructure is probably 50 years ahead of ours, etc, etc. That being said, I will ALWAYS spend my $$$ on quality knives and gear that is made in the USA over anything from China. You know my everyday carry, E!!...a GEC, NGMCo pry bar, my Grip and an AG hoodie on my head lol. I carry and use these things because they're actually the BEST quality things to use in their respective categories!!! The fact that they were made by skilled craftsmen in the USA is just that red, white and blue icing on the cake!!! And that makes me feel extremely proud!!! 🇺🇸. Yet another great video, Erica!!! 🧡🧡🧡

Unless you are talking about Benchmade. More money you give them...the greedier they get. I can't support companies like GEC not because I don't want to, I just can't because I can't find them to buy without having to pay more than the retail price. With that said, I find Spyderco the only company that actually sells quality knives without ripping people off.

@ttattx12 күн бұрын
I agree about Benchmade knives and their beloved “butterfly tax” which wouldn’t be so infuriating if they didnt also make such dramatic reductions to quality- fit and finish are poor, the grinds are trash. However… Spyderco Shaman 6 years ago was 150 bucks - took right off on launch and quickly pushed the price to $180. For the basic variant. Today they are 250 plus. There’s no justification for it. No reasonable one anyway. I still buy them tho and will only buy ones made in Golden. I love the smock but I won’t buy it.

I like knives but when you start talking 150 dollars for it , I would hope you wouldn't need to sharpen it, and it would cut for a very long time ..... a month is impressive, and steel is getting better, but prices, imo still have a way to go. Good video
@mikehouser758713 күн бұрын
I think the knife community is growing in general and demand drives the price. If I am a knife company that can produce 100 knifes a month (material type excluded) and selling them for $50 each I can make a fair profit but I get 300 orders and can’t fill 200 orders. I raise my price to $200 and I get 100 orders which is what I can make my price is $200. Simple example but draws the picture. ✌️🙏🇺🇸
