Love the vids mate! Always the first thing I start watching when I get home from work. I don't expect you to read all of the following stuff I listed in your vid xD Just throwing it up here because I love these sorts of builds. A couple of fun things I played around with when trying out bear stuff: Improved Leader of the Pack is a great source of mana regen when it goes off. Reckoning and Unfair Advantage both can proc in bear form granting extra swings. Aspect Mastery grants 4% more damage reduction just for having aspect of the monkey. If you roll Soul Link, the talent makes it a big 12% damage mitigation which is very tasty. Siphon Life talent works very well for Shadow Bear giving you tons of regen. It is possible to do a hybrid tank type as well with Strength/Intellect gear. Pally gear has both stats and the spell damage for it. You can take things like the Tenacity talent or the Arcane Fortitude talent to bring it all together. Bloodthirst is usable while in Bear Form, which opens up the use for the Blood Drinker Epic RE (This is more for the Carnage Bear obviously) I apologize if you know any or all of the things I mentioned above. One big thing you forgot with your talents is Aspect Mastery. That talent alone is the reason Monkey is good. 4% flat DR permanently for 2 talent points. I'd probably pull the points out of Thick Hide as you're probably getting diminishing returns from your armor rating at that point, and the 4% DR is definitely more worth it.

I knew you'd love the Shadow Bear! Build guide on Al'ar "Corrupted Shadow Bear" by Drkitty Detailed walkthrough of the draft, priorities, and cards. Always available on the discord as Doc (Drkitty) and ingame at the same name. I focus a LOT more on the shadow bolt, getting the HUGE 12-14k crits that heal for ~45% with Soul Leech. Absolute monster in raids and dungeons.

You need fire resistances for the azzinoth flames in the Illidan fight You can reach more or less 20-22k armor with preraid gear in TBC, you need the clefthoof set + rings with armor + tenacity badge The shield from sha'tar rep should be better than the one you bought You can get the earthwarden weapon from cenarion expedition (gives you def/stam/armor/expertise and AP for bear/cat)

21k armor as bear in tbc was attainable because it worked differently. It multiplied ALL your armor instead of your armor gained from cloth/leather. There were rings and weapons with a bunch of armor on it and those got us pretty easily capped on armor.

Bear getting to 20k+ armor typically run; Tenacity,(Prot pally) Survival of the fittest (bear) Thick hide (bear) Firm grip (prot warrior) Frost armor / Devotion aura/ inner fire / Demon armor; the later one being pretty damn good on bears in general (cause more selfhealing with frenzied/savage defense + potential RE is big) 4 blue armor increasing RE's Alongside heavy armor gear found in kara (2 armor rings, 1k armor cloak, armor staff(boe) or mace(rep) and epic leather items from dungeons/early raids which provides quite a bit more then blues outside of klefthoof blue set typically.) Then paired with armored to the teeth for more ap based on armor, which in turn provides more shielding from savage defense. Flametongue/tainted swipe paired with tons of AP (Savage defense reasons, my bear has 4k AP/26k hp raidbuffed in normal/heroic kara gear atm) and threat is not a concern and physical attacks don't even scratch you anymore. I'm outhealing my healers on the horn thrash pulls right before moroes xD I gave up on nightfall elements in my builds for raids though, just didn't feel like it was worth the investment to be honest

My first prestige has some super choice skills. Im playing a melee with the intention to be a titanic mutilate build but I forced killing spree, bladestorm, and fear. Suprise suprise, I have everything I could want minus titan grip. Trying out the legendary that doubles crit chance for 4 seconds after using the warrior damage shout. 90% crit, big bleeds and poison on top. And I have deeper shadow (vanish enchant) to catch my pvp opponants unaware. I feel like samuro.

Remember that agil directly turns into dodge. for example. the badge vendor. the agi stuff is huge for you, and the fire resist/int gear is for warlocks, in ssc you need a FR tank for a boss which a warlock tanks a phase with searing pain :)

on tbc, hard cap on armor is 31,750ish, it's not too hard to do cause they tailored a lot of bear gear to get it. i had it by t4 cause you'd get an extra 1000 armor from the 4p. There are staves as well that give you 500ish armor unbuffed.

i know ill sound like advice andy, but that fire res gear? already in ascended kara illhoof is big fire dam on ot .. not to mention in og tbc u need fire res lock tanks for ssc / tk and also fire tanks for illidan ..not useles mate ^^ .. also regarding defense gear, u dont need anything with deffence (as bear) due survival of fittets (6% melee crit supression is already over being critcaped) and as bear u got 1/3 value of defence, only dodge from it - Huhwa / Shear (shadow bear xD) - Al'ar .. ps: kara gear on bear in tbc is like 25k+ armor and later is ez hit armorcap of 37,5k (75%phys reduction) armor as bear .. but ascension run on wotlk core, which steal our bonus multiplication of armor on rings, cloak, weapon, that play big role in this "high" values

What do you think about the power difference in builds right now? I made Frost Mage build with Ice Barrage and it's really fun to play, having to look out for procs on fireball, ice lance and deep freeze. Very happy with my draft i changed to my second spec, looking through what i would get just from the draft and ended with a lightning build. I got very lucky on both drafts, getting basically everything i wanted for the frost and the lightning spec, but the lightning damage is easily twice as high as the damage on the frost build. It kind of makes me sad trying more creative stuff and ending with something that will always perform way worse than what is meta. - Zearal

You know how some cloaks have extra armor, there should be random gear with extra stam. Or Int. But epic or Orange quality but rare drop chance. I think survival instincts and Enrage work with blood craze and second wind/recovery with tactical mastery and Grim touch even but you can tweak it a bit and resilience you'll be beast or nether protection for extra spell reduction.

You didn't show your 9 talent points in Warrior tree but I'm assuming you put the 5 points in adaptive defense? It's not only 5% dodge but 5% flat DR for 10 seconds after dodging so if you don't have it maxed it would take priority over the points you have in improved Aspect of the Monkey. You also want Aspect Mastery for the flat 4% DR at all times. You should also check out Onlystamina's bear build on architect for some ideas and to learn some of the perspective that agi main stat and gear is not necessarily the only or best way for bear. He explains in the build how plate gear's higher base armor means you end of with similar armor levels even with the bonus multipliers offered to cloth and leather and that plate gear's heavier focus on raw str and stam compared to leather gear either being str/agi/stam "druid" gear or agi/attack power with small amounts of stam "rogue" gear makes it better overall for stacking up your health and attack power. You just have to focus on getting tank plate that isn't heavily weighted towards block and parry. The defense stat is fairly irrelevant for bear since you can achieve crit immunity without it and 2 of the 3 stats it boosts (block and parry) are useless, so the best plate gear to hunt for will have raw str, stam, and dodge rating. -Xenthalus

Wonder if Mind over Matter Int based Shadowbear would work... Defense gives you chance to have enemies miss. It's basically dodge that also works while stunned.. Leather Spellpower Gear exists for that armor bonus over cloth gear. -Zaeria

Is there any big difference between using str or agi for hybrid specs? I feel like people tend to stick to str even tough agi has sp from enh sham talent mental dexterity.
