You could build a pedestal to mount the windless in order to get the chain angle correctly positioned. Raising it instead of positioning it so far back on the bow.

This boat is nice. World touring boat. Set up for cold weather. I didn't see an air conditioner. Great engine! Don't move the boom, you will regret it. That was the only place to mount the windlass. Wow nice boat. Sail around the world. You guys are the kind of people that can.

Ben, the emergency tiller should go through the rear hatch. But I mean, go pro outside, pilot house! Very cool vessel, excited to see you getting back in the water. I like the dinette arrangement. You can look out the ports without standing up and also keep an eye on stove.

Awesome boat! That forward v berth could also be done Pullman style leaving the other side for a thin sea berth and a chair that swings under she can use as a desk and toy/girl stuff storage. Little TV on a swing out RAM mount so she can use it for her computer at the desk and watching TV from her main berth with lots of pillows for comfort. The Pullman berth in the aft cabin also opens that side to a dressing table/makeup mirror set up and TV screen like up forward. The odd settee cushion whichbis a sea berth, could have a movable back to allow more comfort but you would need to remove the storage under the dinette table and may have to allow sliding the berth cushion out if it does not already. Gain two more seats at the cost of a tiny bit of storage. May have to redo the table there but it would be a much nicer set up for long term, while still retaining the sea berth. What a lovely boat. Looking forward to the refit and next season on the water.

Hopefully nothing major pops up when you have the survey done. We love the Green Cove Springs area. We stayed at that marina for about 6 weeks when we had our Catalina 37, did a haul out for doing a bottom paint and had all the rigging replaced, we sold that boat and bought a Privilege 615 Catamaran that we sailed and lived aboard for 12 years but just recently we sold her and bought a condo in Key Largo, Florida. We didn't quit sailing, we just downsized, our new boat is a 2020 Corsair 880 Sport trimaran. It's wicked fast and the perfect sailboat for our lifestyle down here in the Florida Keys....

I have the sideways queen layout on mine. For the forepeak, I have a slightly unusual layout - the head is on the port side and the bunk is on sb. It's a bit odd, but if you put a head in the aft, that might open things up for molly. Bud from the westsail parts company is still around and is an encyclopedia. He's getting up there stop take advantage. He has a repair manual that has a very useful "stuff that breaks" section.

Looks awesome guys, you have probably thought about it but I would move the windlass forward and raise it on platform, this would get rid of the chain in Molly’s bedroom. Also would consider moving the propane locker to make room in the back cabin, could also extend the emergency tiller through to the deck. Good luck guys

Hey guys, you can put the propane in a box on deck and expand the master cabin to give you a better bed design. You can move the Windlass forward and run the chain through a hole in the bulwark. Nice boat. André in Sydney
