I really like how they designed this fight. Honestly the only thing that makes this super easy is the fact that you have so many powerups at your disposal. Seriously, if you have all powerups bowser would need to hit you 80+ times in order to properly kill you. And that makes it awesome because if someone wants a challenge all they have to do is avoid using the powerups.

To be honest I'm pretty sick of people complaining about the final boss every time a new mario game out. I swear people are just so difficult to impress and plus it's a arjl game bosses aren't meant to be difficult until the post game in my opinion. For me as long as the final boss feels epic easy or not is all that matters in a mario game. Galaxy 1 had an easy final boss but the scenery and sensation was epic.

Galaxy is an exception as they actually cared about the boss design. Nearly every mainline mario game has borderline F Tier bossses either being too easy or too unoriginal to be fun to fight. The New Soup Series is the best examples of this, like why does all the koopalings do the same shell spin when they get stompef at least have one home in on you or crash and cause explosions.

@@guynamedrick4419 The one on the DS was good though. All of the castle bosses were unique. Though you had to fight Bowser Jr. several times, both his attack pattern and the arena were slightly more difficult each time. Even the final boss had you fighting Bowser AND Jr. at the same time.

Yeah galaxy had the most epic final bosses IMO and none of the bosses in odyssey were hard until you had a rematch in the mushroom kingdom or moon kingdom for bowser so I agree on the post game difficulty

The boss was exciting and a bit of a challenge for sure but with all the cat bells (even when they don't respawn) and all the powerups you can hold for the Plessie section, dying is hard. The amount of mistakes you can make and still live is massive.

This boss was so easy for me, all I did was spam spike pillars on him for at least 3 times in a row, back to back. But I do admit that chasing Giant Bowser with Plessie was pretty tough

This fight is far and away the hardest in an itemless 100 shines speedrun. It's hard enough as is, but in itemless you can't get any power-ups at all. This means you can only get hit ONCE without dying, which is incredibly unforgiving in the Plessie section.

I would say...I don't know. I personaly would not call the boss itself difficult. Bowser doesn't do much and what you need to do is simple enough to figure out. But throwing can be an issue if you mess up the timing. So the boss itself isn't difficult, but more the control if you ask me.

Boss is actually pretty easy. When he’s spinning, hit him in the stomach, he’ll get knocked easily. Tilt the camera and look for pillar spikes, grab them (with Y) and you can pelt him with it literally whenever to knock him. Easy peasy. Second part is just kinda long, just hop over the spikes, and dive under the fireballs/fire laser, though it might’ve been long after me since I kept rushing him.

Honestly the True Final Boss really is an Insanely Challenge it hard you to avoiding Those Spike pillars and the Fire Laser once Spike Pillars on the second phase and the third phase is even more difficult to avoid

This was truly an epic battle of all the bowser battles we had. What I did to stay alive during the 2nd phase of the battle, I collected all the available power ups and use them when I’m at Mario’s small size.

I already liked it before but the souped-up fight is utterly fantastic. and ultra-instinct bowser is just so goddamn sick looking. kinda reminds me of how in metroid zero mission the final boss becomes a lot harder once you collect all the items. easily the best bowser fight in the whole mario series. holy moly.

The pillars give Mario too much power. You can trap Bowser in a stun lock by throwing pillars because no matter what attack Bowser is using, he can be stunned by thrown pillars. This allows you to complete the first phase very quickly. If Nintendo wants to make an extra hard boss, it needs to be hard, but fair, which means no cheap difficulty from big numbers or RNG. It also needs to be an optional extra challenge not required for the main part of the game.

tbf, its quite easy, all you need to do is just dodge pick the pillars and groundpound. i had more problems with supermario oddyseys final bowser then this one, and for the last part all u need to do is dodge and get speed. that way when u get hit to small mario u get another cat suit.

Wanted to make sure the final boss was hard for me, so for phase 1 I first grabbed all the giga bells and prevented myself using the spike pillars and ball bombs to hit Bowser then in the final phase I didn’t allow myself any extra power ups from that menu

Bowser’s Fury is by far the most interesting addition to the 3D Mario series. I hope we get an entire game that basically expands upon this kind of gameplay aesthetic, it’d probably be cooler if it had more RPG elements.

That final phase is pretty easy if you just keep spamming the y button to dive. You can dive under both the spikes and the fire. It’s pretty easy, and it cheeses the fight. The first part is still pretty hard though, but the second part can be cheesed pretty easily.

First time I did this final boss fight, I got stuck against the side of crisp climb castle and Bowser wouldn't leave, so I just clawed him to death because when he roars to force you away, it just pushed me into the tower and I could hit him again immediately after. There's always going to be a way to exploit the hardest stuff

I think True Fury Bowser is still very easy to take down. I have no problem avoiding the spikes and it is easy to pick them up and throw at Bowser to get some damage in. I didn't even know his health regenerated because I kept attacking him. I do agree that the second phase when he is just normal Mega Bowser is hard. If it weren't for the amount of items you can hold to constantly regain health, this would've been more difficult. I died around 3 to 4 times? before I eventually beat him due to learning how to avoid his attacks. When the spikes launch in rows you want to jump over them but then when Bowser shoots his fire, you want to duck under the next row of spikes. By doing this, I won the battle.

Here is a tip when bowser shoots the 3 layers of spikes dive then a dive jump in mid air dive again

I got the game on launch day and I have 100% completed it twice already. I didn’t die that many times on the secret final fight, but mostly because I was loaded with spare powerups.

I used all the bells at the start, being greedy, and still beat the godslayer part with ease. The chase part was much harder, and i only got good at it after the third hit.

The good thing about this fights difficulty is that is not so hard to the point of getting frustrating (Inner Agent 3) but it's still hard enough for the player to feel rewarding for beating it in my opinion.

I kinda wish Godslayer Fury Bowser would break any platforms thrown at him with his claws, making that form of attack impossible. So, if you lost all the powerups and didn't land enough hits on him for the 2nd phase, you're doomed. To balance that out, allow to use the regular powerups collected throughout the game in Giga form (lose those enough times, and you'll have to go on a collecting spree throughout the courses while he's attacking before you can return to the fight). Also, I wish the ending to this fight was not an exact copy of the regular ending. That might be possible with slight game modding. Make an even harder boss fight.

You can cheese the first half of the 100 Star Bowser fight REALLY easily once he starts putting down his pillars, BTW. Hit him with a pillar, G-Pound/Cat dive him, quickly grab another nearby pillar and stun him again. You can loop this until your out of pillars or he dies. So the only actual challenge is the second half (which isn't much of a challenge as it is an endurance test of using power ups whenever you take damage.)

That is risky. The first two are simple, but for the third Bowser might be far away enough to have him start jumping. Which destroys the pillars (at least I think) and has a better chance to hit you if you carry a pillar. And the for most of the pillars he summons he will jump away making it harder to go back to the left over pillars. But if you pull it of you have a good way of dealing with the first part. (I am not so I need a different approach) Phase two you can use Power Ups, but getting hit makes Bowser move away so you can lose the chance to hit him. But at least you can stop to get one out of the storage. I like that the fight gives options on how you can approach it as there really is no wrong way and you can use what you want. Not really the case with any other Bowser fight. But because of those options the one that suits you can result in a harder fight. So the difficulty depends on the players way of fighting. Unlike most other Bowser fights which always do the same thing every time and don't give as much freedom. Is it the hardest Bowser? As I said depends. Is it one of the best designed fights? I think so because of all the options you have to fight him. But that maybe just me.

This was one of my favourite Bowser fights simply because it took longer than usual. I don't really see how it's difficult though. For example, when spikes are raining down, simply don't jump, and look at the ground instead. Just don't stand on the red markers showing where the spikes will land and you'll be fine. I did get hit quite a few times in the earlier fights with Fury Bowser, but by the time you get 100 cat shines, you should have fought him enough to learn his attacks and make it pretty easy. I'm pretty sure I didn't get hit at all in the final fight. (Before anyone says I'm trying to brag, I'm really not. I'm not an expert Mario player by any means. In fact, it took me 2 playthroughs of Odyssey to get good at it, and I still haven't legitimately completed the 100 jump rope or volleyball challenges. I just don't see a reason why anyone apart from a kid couldn't beat final Fury Bowser first try.)

Surprisingly I only took damage ONCE during both of these fights. And it was to the spiked piller. I was EXTREMELY LUCKY with the FINAL final fight
