Chris has all the skills and can turn his hands to anything, but you have to admire Robs skills in sorting parts (errrr, 5.0 V8 engines in this case...) through his contacts and getting stuck in on the tools too. Well there is a cliff hanger for you! I am confident that this engine will run as your compression test at the salvage yard was good. Chris is a trooper getting all that refitting done then the engine almost slotted in without a problem. Great team work both of you and it was wise to swap any parts that looked different. As always, great video. As an aside, can’t help but picture 99% of these leviathans being scrapped within 10 years due to their overcomplexity and fragility. No one is going to be able to keep them on the road, unlike the original Land Rovers which will still be clunking around forever. Seems a bit mad when you consider the price of the things - buys a house where I live, maybe two.
