Another great video, HH. You are absolutely correct. Blocking it off creates a challenge for someone to open the place up. The cast domes are beautiful and 100-150mm thick. Using the gantry crane would be mundane; now, a pair of mountain trolls would be more enjoyable. The tremendous powder canisters should be in a museum along with the communication wall block. More people should care about history, and we are constantly repeating it. Happy holidays to you, EE and BBG.

Not trying to be rude, but I'm guessing at the time those bunkers were sealed off they weren't really interested in show casing what the Germans did.

What a shame that the entrances to these facilities were all blocked so you could not access them. It must have been a very impressive and busy location during the war! It surprises me how different so many of these various positions are made up of all kinds of equipment. There was a great deal of improvisation using lots of materials from captured vehicles and ships to construct these places. I think all these places should be open to visitor! Thanks for taking us along with you and I look forward to what comes next! Stay well and safe!!

If those powder canisters are rare they should be in a museum. I wonder if sometime in the future they will unseal the bunkers. It would be so grand to be able to enter the observation bunker as it is different from all the other ones we have seen before. I bet you and Eagle Eyes were disappointed finding out all the bunkers were sealed. Still a interesting location.

It makes no sense to seal these places up. I agree with you. How can people learn if they can't see for themselves? Maybe they don't want people to learn. It seems all the ones in power want is to repeat and make more mistakes. I don't know. This was definitely a beautiful area with a spectacular view. It's like being on top of the world. I can't wait to see what else you have in store. Take care and stay safe. Merry Christmas History Hunter and Eagle Eyes! 💖💯🎄

Some places closed things off, others didn't. A lot of things were sealed for safety reasons, some were sealed to prevent reuse, and some were sealed off because of booby traps or other nasty things. There are places all over Germany that have known tunnels or extra floors underground etc. Some places were flooded versus trying to work through booby traps and then sealed off. It's sad that there isn't at least some access to this site - there should be a middle ground in all this. Good explore!
@WW2HistoryHunter4 сағат бұрын
Great explore and thanks for watching.

Definitely have not seen a cast iron observation post like that one before. The effort it would have taken to move that into position is just mind numbing. Would have loved to see what the inside of that bunker was like. It is such a tragedy that they have sealed up every single bunker, or entrance, in that location. I can understand doing that for tunnel complexes and bunkers with poor ventilation or sudden drops, or other safety issues, but not every single bunker. That, like you said, is robbing people of knowing, and exploring, History. And that is just not right. Hopefully one day, someone will come to there senses, and re-open at last the observation bunker. Looking forward to Part 2 from this location, and your Mosquito explore! Cheers to you both!
@WW2HistoryHunterКүн бұрын
Hefty thing it is and i agree they should have been open for people to explore. Thanks so much my friend :)

Reinforced concrete is easily removed, spray battery acid on it and wait, the acid binds with the tiny amount of moisture still present in the concrete which then crumbles, it's quiet too !

Absolutely insane cementing the entrances,denying people,s right to learn about history. Those cast iron domes are mind boggling,the effort required to place them in position.Waiting with bated breath for the Mosquito search,as you know it was the first Multi role aircraft,with the bonus of a wooden air frame so easy to repair.HH,EE and BBG have a peaceful and joyful Christmas and a healthy happy and inspiring New Year.👍👍👍
