Nice Vid, thanks for sharing. 45° is considered a 100% gradient. A stock Unimog will do 45° but little else can (your friends 4WD would not be able to do 45°). So, 30° is a gradient of 66%, so pretty safe to say you still had plenty in reserve. Incidentally, powering up your mog can be as easy as servicing/replacing the turbo and/or intercooler. Not too bad on price.

Yeah the Mog was holding it pretty well even while it had to lug our house up there as well. I don't know if we would be able to do 45° with all the weight in the back. Our Mog has the OM352A so turbo but not intercooled. We have looked into turbo and intercoolers but it does get pretty pricy pretty quick. If/when we build another Mog we will go another route 😉

Always love the star/night/fire shots, they're so unique and special. And it's always a laugh watching Jele sliding into cold water!!! Don't think I'd ever want to visit an asbestos mine/town/area - so you've saved me the bother, thanks. Having said that I believe my own town has low property value due to it's historical closeness to old tin mine workings!

Yeah those night shots are a bit of hit and miss. So much can go wrong from clouds showing up in the middle of the night or the gopro not charging off the powerbank, etc. Yeah she doesnt like it when I make her go swimming in cold water. Up until last year an old lady used to live there and you coild still drive through the town and into the gorge (some people even camp there....) but since the government has moved her out the blocked off all the entrances to the town and put up the signs that there are penalties for going there. We did block off any holes in the cab with tape and had the aircon on and windows up...
