John and Tara, thanks for brightening up a dull day in the U.K. showing one of the natural wonders of the world. A lovely video again and it reminds me of my first trip to Vic Falls in January 1981; sitting on the Vic Falls’ hotel terrace with a cold beer. In those days the Garard steam engines were still in operation, going across the famous bridge. The sunset booze cruise on the river is lovely and I think they start from near the A’ Zambezi hotel on the Zim side. As my late mother in law used to say, ‘God’s own country’.

stunning! it reminds me a bit (albeit much smaller) of my own US Niagara Falls. when I was 14 I took a helicopter ride over NF. there were no doors! I had to be very brave and keep my little sister from leaning too far out. 😄 that was many years ago and I can't imagine they still allow doorless flights.

Niagra Falls on the border of NY?, USA and CANADA is something you would love although it is much smaller than these falls of course. Very forceful. You can go on a boat at the base of the falls and get soaked. They provide raincoats, though. Victoria falls are very WOW ...awesome. No crying from Crusoe. Ever???

What an amazing place, such fantastic memories and what a helicopter ride. I did one once into the Grand Canyon and loved every minute of it, would definitely do one again.

Yikes Mike! That sounds chilly, hope you're managing to keep warm and well. We're gearing to get back on the road after weeks at Tara's family in Zimbabwe, where they're having the heaviest rainy season in years and we've had heavy rain every day for two months! The family time has been very special time but we're excited to be exploring again!

Hi Tara John and Crusoe,I guess it’s the best time to go before it gets to hot 🥵,what a beautiful picture Tara you standing looking at the falls pregnant then doing it again with carrying Crusoe in your arms this time ,helicopter ride fantastic so exciting for you all many years ago I worked for a company that did you have Ariel crop spraying the pilot said he would pick me up when he finished spraying potatoes so he picked me up but not telling me he had not finished spraying potatoes he put the fair of god in me doing 50 mph down the rows with the skids hitting the groups lol great blog really enjoyed it till next time take care keep safe,john 🌹😆🥰🥵🥵🍻🍻😇 lots of love to you all especially Crusoe xx 😘

Nice videos chaps, I really am green wit envy with you guys, being able to afford travelling the world at such a young age. Sadly I beg to differ with you slightly about a comment you made about David Livingstone being the first "westerner" to discover Victoria falls....sadly others beat him to it...however he was the first "westerner" to name the falls in honour of Queen Victoria from the point known as Livingstone island in 1855. The Portuguese were there long before him. A French cartographer Nicolas de Fer correctly described the falls back in 1715 as well as Jacques Nicholas Belin in 1750, the Portuguese explorers and the Voortrekkers were all aware of the falls long before Livingstone "presumedly" discovered them. Just thought I'd leave the above useless piece of information.

I do say old chap the falls are a tad over a kilometre long....in fact they are the biggest falls in the world, with an impressive drop of 180 metres and spans a mere 1.7 kilometres or 1700 metres wide.

My mim has planted 700 trees in 7 days...and she doesn't travel anywhere. she always walks. So her footprint is zero. We can travel now to her and maybe plant some more trees with her.
