I think Gawain is adopted. Not to say that we can't see her mother yet. But personally, I think that she's either a doll created by Merlin like Gowther (as she was OG Gowther's pupil), or she is Merlin with her memories wiped. Evidence: • Gawain was introduced in a similar way to Gowther. As in, we saw that armour not their bodies first. As well as, the element of surprise they both had with their appearances. I mean, even most of the Sins originally thought that Gowther was a giant old man inside the armour. • Her grandparents aren't even real people, and she is awkward around her father. Who could be adopted, or at the very least acting as a guardian. • Her magical power Dawn, is similar to Sunshine but is not the same. It's possible that it could be an upgraded or altered version of Sunshine. In other words, Merlin could have somehow alternate and give it to Gawain. If my Doll theory is right. As in eliminating it's primary weaknesses. Which is limiting it's to a certain time, and letting it control the state of battle instead of it's user. I know that she's not a clone, exactly. But she does have some looks, and a traits about her that resemble Merlin and Escanor. Such as her appearance, her habits, and her fighting style. But she doesn't possess their memories or their experiences. I'm not disagreeing or agreeing with you Greek Weeb. I'm just keeping my options open.

A third possibility for the dolls, which is also equally dark and depressing. Gawain did once have real grandparents, but they died, and Gawain is in denial about their deaths, so created these dolls and is pretending as though they are still alive.

Arthur is gonna get the Vader redemption and in the end gonna use all of chaos powers to make eternal kingdoms and separate all the realms via their respective races. Nakaba has statement that the opening of sins where the narrator said “ this is ancient times before the human and non human worlds were forever divided” has not happened yet meaning it’s gonna happen in the future. I believe Arthur gonna use / maybe sacrifice chaos power to make the realms divided and they are in their own “eternal kingdoms”. I’m calling it now.

So first off, did not expect a chapter Second I have 2 theories 1. Arthur was so consumed with negative emotions, take in the seven deadly sins movie into account where Arthur was seen as upset, that the chaos consumed him making him state and do things out of character, like “sacrificing his humanity” for the power of chaos. That would also include potentially imprisoning Merlin 2. Arthur chose to “sacrifice his humanity” for power, which basically devolved him spiritually into a chaos beast that only has a fraction of control and restraint over the power of chaos, cause the bottom line to me is, I don’t see how the sins could win at all in a full on fight against Arthur if he were to unleash everything, and Merlin was able to “save his humanity” and is in hiding. Now the bottom line question is can Arthur be redeemed at all at this point? Side note imagine the grandma and grandpa are actually Merlin and what’s left of Arthur in disguise or share some form of link to them. Which would explain Gawain and her Magic ability

He didn't. Excalibur was placed in his castle when Zeldris conquered Camelot. He knew he could pull Exaclibur again. He just had to sneak into Camelot to get it.

Man this chapter was great considering that we got to see not only Arthurs backstory but Kay as well which really shows us a reason why Kay doesn't mess with Arthur anymore.
