It’s great to see your taking your time planning the layout. My problem is with my build is finding a place for my two dogs! Once your extra seat is in I’m sure you’ll move on faster. Good luck 👍

Surely they can have a snooze under the drop down bed! Seat fitting this week! Thanks pal. Your build is looking mega.

Interested in the seat. We are doing the same with two little ones. Most seats I see are 3 leaf fold out which is no good as you need room behind the seat to fold it out, and we only need if for one of the kids! Anyway crack on so I can see how to do it😂

😂😂 I’m going as fast as I can😅. Seat fitting this week so hopefully get that video out next week.

Good thing you worked out this issue before you started. BTW, sorry to butt in, but have you seen the van that @TravelBeans are currently travelling in? It's a fantastic layout for a couple with a baby (or two).

Not butting in at all 👍 yes I have seen the van they are in at the moment. The only problem is we would like a garage for bikes and outdoor kit. Great layout for a family though and I will take another look. Thanks for the recommend.

Really interested in how high the bed is to fit bikes under as I want to do something similar

As soon as I get there I will let you know. Shouldn’t be to far off getting the bed frame in. 👍

I'm in this situation too - thankfully the amount of time the build has taken me means I still have time to change my plans! Would love to know where you're getting the seat made; I've been planning to build my own (stealing a design from an autosleeper layout I've seen at a showroom that has a welded steel frame base) as couldn't find other options.

Yer man. Plans change as the build develops and your van sits there. In a way a good thing the build takes a while. The seat is from a company called fabworkx in chesterfield. Video coming as soon as they got it hopefully this week. 👍

My wife is a childminder so when it comes to changing nappies she knows her shit. I know hosing down is the best way to clean them but in a camper, the mess will end up in your grey water tank so be weary of disposing of that. I'm sure that was a joke anyway. Good luck with the build, looking forward to watching the developments and the choices you make coming up.

Looking forward to following along with the build and beyond! One question, why Crafter and not Sprinter? Might be doing something similar in the future and wondered what the thought process was on the base vehicle - or was it simply what was available and the right price?
@abucklife10 ай бұрын
Thanks Mike. Mate the sprinter is the dream but as you said just not within our budget at this time. Also big weight times and not even taking orders last year. I would go for a 2020 one though not a new awd one as I quite fancy hi and low plus a diff lock if I were to buy one now.
