I always cry with tears of joy being able to witness a new life come into the world like this. We lost our first two at birth, the third was unfortunately hit by a car and died at 29, and my son will be 50 on his next birthday. Life is such a precious thing, enjoy every minute with this little one

2:45 reminds me of KeepYourDaydream where they sold everything, bought an RV, and traveled the country living in their RV but then bought a house to live in from ~Thanksgiving thru ~New Years so they can get their kids together but AirBnB the house the rest of the year while they travel again.

Congrats on the baby. I remember those days. With our first my wife and I didn’t sleep for 3 years. One thing that is cool is that my family has a bassinet that has been handed down for generation and every baby that has slept in it has their name on it w an engraved placard. I think there is now 20+ names on it. Very cool tradition.

Greatest experience in the world, isn't it? When I first held my daughter to give my wife some rest, then nurse would come in and say my daughter needed to go back to the nursery. I wouldn't give her up. :) Time flies. Seems like just a very few short years ago. Now's she's a senior at the US Coast Guard Academy (and on their offshore sailing team) and ready to go save people at sea for her career. Don't blink. Aside from the sleepless nights at first, it will go by faster than you can possibly imagine. Blessings to you all.

After helping to raise three daughters I only have one parenting tip, treat your daughter for the rest of your life like you did on the first day. It’s not going to be easy, in fact it will be the hardest thing you have ever done. Especially about the age of 13. Congratulations!
