Watching the two of you has given my life renewed joy. My beloved honey was so much like Trent. He found an abandoned store near a river. My first impression was, it looks like the Munsters live here. We purchased the building and found out from realtor it was built in 1863 (Lincoln was President). For two years from sunrise to sunset my energizer bunny bounded out of bed, I made a pot of coffee, and he was slamming the crowbar. His creative vision was always at the forefront. It was a labor of love for nine years. I have deja vu watching your podcast, recalling our blissful years creating our future together. It all went too fast. We were allowed 42 happy years, now I remain with the memories; our children, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Please know this, every moment you have together is a treasure. Your gift to each other, Son Leo, is on his life path and observing his surroundings. He will learn and move on toward his greatness. It's the cycle of life. Cherish his every move, smile and accomplishments, while you continue finding new adventures. You are teaching through your podcasts how a relationship enables two energetic souls to dance together in perfect harmony. Thank you for being your authentic selves. Joyfully, Claudette 💫

Great job Allie. You have a great instructor. It's a skill you need, living on the mountain. As a female, young teenager, I learnt how to not only change a flat tire but repair a puncture. It will give you so much confidence for living on that mountain. From now on, your knowledge can only increase.

So I did some googling and asked on a Vanlife forum, and then I managed to jump the starter battery with my solar house battery! I felt so strong and smart and competent. Allie you are so much more capable than you know. Really it was about the best circumstances to learn about how to work your winch. Now you forever have that ability. I am a woman... not a mechanic but learned some stuff. I have changed a water pump, ignition switch, alternators, batteries gone to auto wreckers and pulled off a muffler with a complete exhaust system... dad installed it for me. You just learn one thing at a time as you need it. That doesn't include all the the stuff I did with my dad... breaks, tire repair, swapping out tires to summer / winter, thermostats, struts ect. I am old. It was just one thing at a time and it still is. Here is the thing... i am not really mechanically inclined. LOL The more you expose yourself to the more you learn. It is really okay to not know how to do they stuff. That is growth opportunities presenting themselves. I learn stuff still everyday.
