We Have Been Triggered Part 1

This was our first trip out this year and wow...what a trip. We started near shore then 35 miles out and then mack in to around 16 miles out. Our goal was mostly Trigger fish and we scored our target.
This is video 1 of 2 due to the long day and fishing.

And sometimes I don't hear so good while leaving my hearing aids at home, but often it's just a slow reaction to a big fish. Remember "loose lips sink ships" well for me loose drag saves poles. Thanks Mike but I have never seen the big sharks so numerous. I am hoping it is just a huge migration of them heading North. I have no doubt that we could have caught our limit of Triggers if we could have gotten them to the boat... And some of those thugs we hooked into could have been big Gags that took us under a ledge.

It certainly is getting crowded in our little towns. So much development it is crazy. But very few people move here because of my videos. A few yes.. and the proof of that is because I can still go off shore to well marked spots.. and there is nobody from horizon to horizon to see. (True.. I don't go out on weekends) But people are moving EVERYWHERE in Florida to escape the oppressive taxes up North.. and I was one of them 12 years ago.

Good to see you back Salty. I’m back in Australia at present. My son has upgraded his boat from a 4.15 (14 ft) SeaJay with a 40 hp Suzuki to a 5.75C (18.8 ft) Barcrusher with a 115 Suzuki. We’ve been out 4 times to the gutters up to 40 miles out in the Bay. Waiting to hit the shelf but that is for a better day. The weather hasn’t been the best of late. Sharks are a curse here also. They are supposed to be near extinction. We’ve managed to get a few feeds of fish each time but not our target species. But we’re thankful to have fish. Our target specie will come if we’re patient. Hi Dannie, I know exactly what you are saying about being too old to go out alone. Just this week we lost an old timer who went out alone and his boat washed up on a beach in Melbourne with the motors RUNNING and no one aboard. He probably got pulled or slipped overboard and no life vest OR PLB on to locate him. You sure don't want to be the star on the evening news. And it just so happened that there was a fellow (Gary) who went to my church and he likes to fish the blue water too. You might want to ask around your church and find a Brother of the Hook.. and Book.
