I’m soooo impressed with this video’s summary and witty commentary of the Miami tournament 👌🏾👏🏾🤌🏾The still shot of Azarenka was top notch 🤣 and I especially loved the “crime” Sinner unleashed and ain’t no way Jannik was gonna repent haha! I’ve been watching Sinner from 2018 and have been mesmerised by his tennis! I had a feeling he was special! May his career continue to thrive! Forza 🦊💪🏾

TBH Meddy-Sinner was 6-0 up to Beijing 2023, which ended on October 4. So 6 months ago, not 2. Still, a very remarkable comeback by Sinner. Even more so, since 3 out of those 5 matches were finals and 2 were semifinals.

My first impression of Carlos was that he would be a flash in the pan. That was based on his body type with heavier musculature that would put added strain on ligaments and bone to result in injuries that could then not be prevented or sustained over a longer haul. The ideal body type seems to be Novak, Sinner, and Medvedev, the lanky thin bodies. Injuries make it hard to sustain a career such as Nadal has done. That seems very difficult. Muscle twitch is not everything.

For all the talk about Novak being finished, he had a pretty successful North American Swing as he INCREASED his lead in the rankings over Alcaraz and Medvedev! Sure Jannik Sinner has been the biggest mover and his rise to number 1 is simply a matter of time but we already knew that given Novak is the defending FO champion having to defend 2000 points while Sinner is only defending 45 points along with another 540 points leading up to the FO. Carlos and Medvedev are hamstrung with a lot of points to defend still so it's all Sinner from here on. Here is the point breakdown as we come into the clay court season through the French Open: Novak Ranked #1 with 9725 points MONTE CARLO 90 BANJA LUKA 45 ROME 180 FRENCH OPEN 2000 TOTAL 2315 Sinner ranked number 2 with 8710 points MONTE CARLO 360 BARCELONA 90 ROME 90 FRENCH 45 TOTAL 585 Alcaraz ranked number 3 with 8645 points MONTE CARLO 0 BARCELONA 500 ROME 45 madrid 1000 FRENCH 720 TOTAL 2265 Medvedev ranked number 4 with 7165 points MONTE CARLO 180 MADRID 90 ROME 1000 FRENCH 10 TOTAL 2265 If Novak can get his head together, he's got a great shot at picking up some significant points heading into RG but I don't think it will be enough to hold off Sinner. Yes, Sinner and the young guns represent a threat to his throne but Novak's biggest competition remains between the ears. After the French Open, it's onto Wimbledon where I think last years loss to Alcaraz will galvanize and focus Novak for a record tying 8th Wimbledon title and 25th Grand Slam. Remember, he lost to Alcaraz in the finals so he's defending 1200 points as opposed to 2000 so Novak has some opportunities the next 2 months to pick up some points before the hard court season. Your year end number 1 will be Sinner and this happens when you have a hot player who isn't defending Grand Slams.

27:45 "not willing to go BH to BH with Sinner because of his incomparable topspin" - puzzled by that comment. So Dimi's higher spin rate was somehow a disadvantage you think?

@@jacopozuppa6292, @francescomeneghel4591, no, he didn't. He clearly continues to say Dimi was "running around his BH to play FH". I mean I have no opinion as to who would have won most of the BH-BH rallies, but "incomparable spin"? hmm...
@6WireBender

Wait, I guess I'm thick today. TP probably simply meant Sinner's BH topspin shot is better than Dimi's. Nothing to do with RPM on the ball. OK. I guess that one is hard to disagree with. Never mind.

I don’t agree that sprinkling women’s tennis into men’s is respectful to women. In fact, it’s only legitimizing their excellence relative to men which they are not and never will be. Women need a dedicated space of their own both on and off the court. Their game can be just as exciting and interesting in its own way. I find women’s curling far more exciting than men’s and follow the women’s schedule first. Women deserve their own court magic and highlights in the female realm of athletic pursuits. The pay should reflect this as well and they have every right to be well-paid for it.
