"Stanley Tucci joins Eric Ripert in Part 1 of Episode 3 of ON THE TABLE. Eric is Stanley's sous chef for the day as the two get ready to make an Italian treat - lemon risotto and whole branzino. Stanley and Eric bond over their shared passion for food - both come from families where dinner was the focal point of the family. But first - they indulge in martinis for breakfast as Tucci makes Ripert his first martini!
On The Table w/ Eric Ripert
Celebrated chef and television personality Eric Ripert of New York City's acclaimed Le Bernardin invites celebrity friends into his home kitchen where together they prepare the guest's signature dish -- one that defines them -- all the while discussing food, creativity, life and passion. With a great meal and maybe too much wine, everything is ""On the Table.""

He really is my absolute favorite. The one time I got to New York and saw a play it was a nude version of Frankie and Johnny with Edie Falco and Stanley Tucci. What Fun!! And Big Night is in my top 10 movies because my Mom loved Louie Prima and I do too!!! And I also love Tony Shalhoub!!

I have been a fan of Stanley Tucci for a long time and still am. I saw him once in Manhattan but I didn’t approach him to respect his privacy. I love to learn that he loves to cook as I have a cooking channel in Facebook, “Cooking with Clari”. Love be able to see Stanley in this new role and getting more of him. Like we say in Puerto Rico “Buen Provecho” Stanley!

Stanley Tucci is one of the few actors who isn't afraid to play the role of a gay man. Many others are afraid of being seen as gay themselves. He has the talent to play a gay man without being clichéd. He's a great actor and has a wonderful sense of humor.

"James Bond drank his shaken?" (4:16) One of my favorite lines from the West Wing, Pres. Bartlett says that 'James Bond is ordering a watered-down Martini, and being snooty about it!' Absolutely correct.

I’m loving it! I watched last nights episode twice, and still missed a moment where someone was cooking something and I’m not sure what it was. Cauliflower? All I know is there’re not enough hours for me to attempt all of those dishes, but I’ll try. ;))

There is much to learn watching Stanley Tucci’s, Searching for Italy. Tucci will be going to Italy’s 20 major regions. The first episode he went to Naples. The last episode he went to Rome. In the second episode I learned that in the 1930’s Mussolini banned imported goods, grains, and produce. People were starving but Mussolini tried to ban eating pasta too, saying it would make people weak and impotent. 60% of the population supported Mussolini. 40% were against. We all know who won the Pasta War. It's fascinating watching video clips of Mussolini too. He was very charismatic and animated. I thought I was watching Donald Trump. If 60% of our population backed Trump, like Italy backed Mussolini, our country would be in a very different position. Mussolini tried to ban pasta. Trump derided the wearing of masks. Both men politicized basic essentials which people relied on. People were hurt and killed because of their rhetoric. Mussolini's story is over. Trump's story continues.

It’s a wonderful coincidence that Stanley Tucci and John Krasinski, two celebrities who have presented soul-warming videos during this pandemic, are married to sisters-Emily and Felicity Blunt. You lucky ladies!

What he's making here is a *vodka martini*. A true martini is made with gin, not vodka. As for vermouth, it must be dry of course, but as for quantities, ymmv.

TWO WEIRD THINGS about Searching For Italy with Stanley Tucci is, so far the first 6 episodes in Season 1, they never made SPAGHETTI WITH MEAT BALLS. They made different spaghetti meals but NONE with meatballs. AND the second weird thing is, when they add grated parmesan cheese to the spaghetti or other pasta, they always add VERY LITTLE or even tiny amounts. How many love 2 or more heaping tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese on their pasta or spaghetti? I DO!!!!!
