Engels pass to Khun was sublime! Credit where it's due. ☘️💚
@Voidoid77Ай бұрын
Hatate's attitude was shocking. He was galling to watch. Strolled around like he was something special but never back-tracked; misplaced passes; overhit passes; contributed next to nothing. Welsh was so very, very poor. Palma is a complete cart-horse who contributed (& did) nothing. Cannot beat a man & cannot cross a ball. Needs shipped-out in Jan. window. Thank God the players on the bench came on to win the game for us.... Hope Brendan learned a very valuable lesson, & the Board especially, saw what happens when you don't have enough quality re; the back-up players. Massive praise to Bernardo, Idah & Kuhn - and Engelssublime pass for Kuhn's goal & getting more game time = vital. Stevie bang on with his analysis, as always. Big props to Falkirk & their supporters!

Would rather play Yang than Palma , at least Yang shows some enthusiasm and effort unlike Palma. At one point Valle intercepted in defence and after beating the tackle lost it because he had no pass as Palma was walking behind him. Unforgivable not to show effort, Palma was the worst player on the pitch. Also thought Welsh consistently underperforms , Nawrocki is a far better option.

Too many changes was always going to be a bit risky against a good attacking side in form. We've got to give our squad players time as this will let us develop them.

Perfect opportunity today to see what the players that aren't in the first team need to work on and also which players show promise and which don't. I am also a Wrexham fan and although I'd written Cleworth off a couple of seasons ago, this season he's possibly their best player. Sometimes things just need to click or they just need a little word in the ear and they become a totally different player. Just glad the bhoys had strength in depth so we could put on bug hitters to take command of the game and see Falkirk off.
@ErinJack299Ай бұрын
Look what happens when you put crosses in to the box with Adam Idah up top, whoda thought? I think we had one successful cross in the first 60 mins. Luis Palma was embarrassing I can’t see him having much a future at the club now. Yang was surprisingly very impressive, hopefully he can kick on from here and give us the option behind Daizen. You’re right, this game gave us a lot to think about, but the most important thing - Kuhn is absolutely magic.
@williamhyslop2067Ай бұрын
Said all week not too make too many changes, the difference at 65 minutes proved a point, Palma, Welsh not good enough, jury out on left back & centre back but needs game time beside better players. I’m sure BR had learned a lot and won’t make so many changes again….

Get Taylor signed up on a new deal asap!! Starting to drag on..pay him a decent signing-on fee and give him a key first 11 wage. Hes most underrated footballer at the club. We'll know all about it if we lose him..Really hope hes not already made a decision.

It was the right day to play the new guys. We had the cavalry on the bench just in case and they came on and did their job. Valle did some good things in the inverted role and had his hands full with their winger but had no help and was also fouled for their goals. He’ll learn a load from this and will do a job but GT still first choice….

It's far too early to judge Valle and Palma in front of him, didn't help him at all. Every time Valle won the ball, Palma was nowhere to be seen, so no forward pass or out ball for him. Boy deserves a couple more chances playing with first team starters to get some rhythm going.

I thought Trusty was quite a calm player his distribution was very Impressive just a little too slow centre backs have to play consistently if him and Welsh were playing consistent games they would be a lot shaper we seen it when scales missed game or two last season . Valle far too unexperienced but he was running right to the bi line and putting balls in more like Alistair Johnston rather than Greg Taylor.
@martinquigley6937Ай бұрын
Changes were inevitable for today’s game, maybe Rodgers would rue with the benefit of hindsight making so many, especially in defence. However, we got the job done and that’s the benefit of having squad depth.
@TJ17lindieАй бұрын
I still think our squad depth is impressive it’s just the fact this team hasn’t played together and don’t know the peace we play the game if it was the same starting 11 from Wednesday, but maybe just two or three changes there would be no problem. If anybody from our starting 11 gets injured, I’m not going to be too concerned.

As is often said, the road to hell is paved with good intentions and whilst I fully understand Brendan's good intentions the truth is we made far too many changes from Wednesday night and it showed. Naturally, Falkirk being in good form and with nothing to lose played a cracking game and were a credit to themselves, their manager , and their club and fully deserved their half time lead. Fortunately however , we decided to substitute our good intention after an hour and brought on the big guns to get job done and that's exactly what they did. So it's job done and on to face Aberdeen in the semi final before we hopefully play Motherwell for the first trophy of the season. 💚🤍🏴 Celtic 5 🇵🇹🇮🇪🇮🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪 Falkirk 2 🏴🏴
