After he did Moody Blue here for the only time, did anyone in the band think he should have done song more? Cause he toured for like 4 months after this and you'd think that he would have least thought of doing song on his last TV special in June 77. Wonder why he only did Moody Blue once since it was such a #1 country song? Makes you wonder.

There are some times at the end when he sounded great, but not here. He was also clearly under the influence. Such a quick decline when you think this was less than 10 years after the 68 Comeback.

And yes this is a terrible effort. The years of the prescription drugs caught up with him, and his downfall was also accelerated by the loss of Priscilla- his fault - Perhaps the King felt he could always be the King just by being the King- which he did for a while. Even in awful moments like this of moody blue, there were still some concerts in those last 12 months when he was brilliant. It was a strange time, in that sometimes he was brilliant and others he was terrible - clearly things were going wrong
