I have those pegs on my 250EXC Sumo - they're great. I'm running a 44 rear and still deciding if it's right for the cart track but I DID get a decent chain (see what I did there). Great video as always.

Gearing for sure. I have sm tires with 47 tooth and a knobby wheels with a 41 and what a difference. Didn't need a chain tho. Plenty of adjustment. So glad I watched this I'm 6 foot 5 and constantly feel like those pegs are barely holding on to my size 13s. Also the handlebars I'm always leaning over. Great content.

Great video. Speaking of mods, would you go down 1 teeth in the front sprocket on a 701 Supermoto used as a daily commuter that also doubles as an occasional track bike (on gokart and medium sized tracks)? The current gearing is perfectly fine for the street, but on the track I'd love to have better acceleration.

What would you say the top speed is with the 46t rear sprocket? I've been running mine 15/38 for 3 years since I was having to do 75mph interstate for my commute, but my new job I can take regular 45/50mph roads, not sure how far to go tooth-wise but wanting some of my torque back
@socalsupermoto2 жыл бұрын
Hey Sam, in your situation I think bone stock gearing is perfect. 15/42. Still able to throw up easy 2nd gear wheelies without having to shift all the time. I error on the side of too tall for all street bikes. Now if you're never going over 50 then yeah maybe 15/46, tops around 72?

Awesome Videos.. Can u make a tutorial especially, when and how to make the foot out in corner? I feel much comfortable when I put my feet out in corners, in small and in long corner.. I feel very uncomfortable when I DON'T do my foot out, like I will slide away with my tires.. how can I get better trust in my tires or in my lean angle? My tires have enough place.. chicken strips..
@socalsupermoto2 жыл бұрын
Great idea! I put it on the list. The short answer is only for a second or two and "kick the apex", not literally, but drop foot aproximately at the apex or where you start to get on the gas. As far as lean angle, stop worrying about it. Focus on fast transitions and early gas, it's safer and will get your faster faster!
