I traveled full-time for years until the pandemic. Since we were grounded, I started my own business that generates $2K a month and supplements my Social Security and pension benefits ($2500). Rather than travel full-time or relocate abroad, I keep my rental apartment in the US as a low-cost home base and temporarily close my business to travel 4-6 months a year. This solves the problem of long-term visas, banking, taxes and much more.

We've never met and probably never will, but I feel you are trusted friends when considering overseas travel, even Amtrak. I live in Hawaii and Amtrak sounds exotic to me! I like your honesty in telling us about your income from KZbin. Your content and presentation is fantastic and you deserve every bit of reward.

Love the channel. I would love to see a video about when to travel and where to avoid high costs and bad weather while bouncing around every month. I assume you two pretty much stay warm when you go places, so not being in North Japan in the Winter for example. I keep trying to put the list of when/where together and since I've not been to Asia yet, I'm lacking in understanding. I know going to Europe, most of it is along the same Lattitude as as states like Michigan and Ohio. So if you want to slow travel, you need to do so from between April and October or you will need some colder weather clothing.

Hi Folks...Just wanted to let you know you're doing a great job and service. My wife and I are full-time travelers as you are for nearly 4 years and we've learned much from your channel.

Suggestion: Create something where you keep notes on your travels and make it accessible to everyone that watches your channels. Where you stayed (specifically), costs, what you liked and didn't like, what you've done, specific places you would suggest to people, anything else you can think of. It would be very helpful to people.

First of all, you two are a great couple and so very pleasant, entertaining, and always highly informative. And it's efficiently delivered, no rambling on on tangents, etc. The way you present this lifestyle seems very appealing and very doable. A $3000 social security plus another $1000 from investments draw, and that would be it. Why just suffer and strain in the U.S., and it's not even that nice.

Another wonderfully informative and reinforcing video! 🙏🏼 Question 1: Have you looked into or are you considering the new DTV Thailand Visa? Question 2: In other videos when you've talked about "not being too old to do KZbin videos" you’ve mentioned that older people make more $$$ for their YT videos. I haven't been able to find info on why that is or even if that is true. Would you consider covering that in more detail in a future video? PS: When I purchase your KZbin course it's going to cover the last few remaining dollar spend to get my 185,000 Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant AMEX signup bonus points! I thought it fitting. 🎉

Add another question to this thread, and I might’ve asked this before, but I can’t find the answer, does your KZbin training class go into good detail for editing? I am not really computer literate and I really struggle with trying to figure that part out.

Usually older folks like me, talk about niches that have a higher CPM/RPM. Say youtube can charge more per every thousand views for a business or travel channel than a gaming or makeup channel. If you search : cost per mil rates by niches on KZbin. You'll be able to see what I mean. 👍 Hope this was helpful.
@ShaneRobinsonArtist5 ай бұрын
@@livingworkingoutsidebox Thanks for that. And yes, I completely understand the C/RPM differences and what advertisers are willing to pay for categories like FinTech, Digital Marketing, etc. Travel usually falls farther down the list...Generally not even in the top 10. So I have been wondering what they are referring to when they've mentioned "older audience" being a higher C/RPM? My only guess is that older audiences watch the entire video and don't bop from one to the next? PS: I'm approaching 58 and starting full-time travel in January so this is all super interesting to me!

Hi, yes, we are waiting, and hopefully we will have more info soon on the visa! We will be looking into it once official. The question about age is covered in great detail in the course! Wow, so great to get the Amex Brilliant, we don't have that yet, it's been at the top of our list for like a year now. Maybe we will pull the trigger soon!

Guys, thoroughly enjoy your videos here and on your travel channel. Your presentation style is so open and warm and each video is very informative. As I watch the videos I always find myself wondering 2 things: 1) since you generally stay for extended periods at each destination, what is your typical daily routine? My guess is you do not spend each day as tourists as that could get old quickly and could get very expensive. But since you don't need to mow the lawn, or don't have a car to wash, or a dog to walk, etc. and you probably don't sit in your hotel room all day and read the paper :), I am just curious what a typical day looks like. And 2), how do you handle health care insurance? I know you've mentioned that you have international health insurance coverage, but wondering how that would work as one's age increases? I'd expect that at 50+, 60+ the increasing cost of health coverage might force some (depending on their budget of course) to reconsider international slow travel. US Medicare does not cover health care outside of the US, correct? Perhaps just the reality of things but am curious if you have any insights. Many thanks for all that you share on the channel.

I just received an email from IHG about a new point offer. "Stock up and earn in a major way. This is your exclusive chance! Buy points now through June 29, 2024, and get up to 100% more-just because. We've raised the limit you purchase up to 250,000 points, so don't wait!" Thought I would share. Love your videos and the information that you're sharing. Thanks to you, SE Asia has now become an area of the world that we're really interested in. We start our full time traveling journey in November, with three months in Portugal. Then, we plan to shuffle out of the Schengen to Cyprus and Turkey. Can you recommend a budget friendly way to get to SE Asia? I've looked at cruises, but only find world cruises that go the wrong way. Any help is appreciated.

We were looking to move to Portugal. But never liked the higher tax structures. So when they eliminated the NHR program and the Gringo tax on buying properties were getting out of control, it just became clear slow traveling the world, 🌎 would be the better option. 🤔 😊 Thanks to channels like yours one can see how easy it can be. Will you be making a mid year update on your travel plans? 🤔 Trying to see what percentages of travel are planned/booked 6+ months out, which are 1-3 months out and how often it's just traveling by the seat of your pants.😊😅 Sorry one more.... Do you feel with your higher statuses you’ll buy fewer points during 11/11 sales? Or doulbe triple your points purchases from last year?🤔👍
