Ah I feel you so much for this move! We moved to the Caribbean for medical school with our 4 kids and those Samsonite tote-a-ton bags SAVED our butts and we definitely had towers of those. You guys are doing awesome. All the emotions are so real. Let them flow, both of you! It's healthy. Good luck on your new beginnings! That house, oh my gosh, it's gorgeous! So happy for you. I wish I had started a vlog years ago. We've moved 26 times in the last 20 years and my husband is in the works of finding a spot for a residency right now so we will be moving again this summer... Our oldest is leaving for a mission next month, our second will be starting at BYU Idaho in the fall... All the changes this year. Prayers for all of us this year!!

Thank you for always being so honest and open. I just went through a unexpected move from FL back to WI and there are always so many emotions ; when you said "it seems like the right thing to do although it's sad" really resonated with me! On top of moving being physically and emotionally taxing, you're going through all of the memories you've had in your old space, and now experiencing exciting/nervous feelings of starting something new. The house is absolutely incredible. I cannot wait to see your videos a year from now. Sometimes a year seems like such a long time, but in honesty, it really does fly by - and I'm comforted to see this process, the exhaustion and stress and emotional rollercoaster of a huge move (which I'm about to embark on - an insane life changing move across the other side of Australia) and I'm not coping. I'm not good at even the smallest change as well. But knowing how good you guys are gonna be and happy and all this is gonna be so far behind you in a year's time when I'm watching your video helps make me put my own situation into perspective as well ❤️ Just wondering, how will you go with the girls sleeping upstairs and you guys downstairs, especially when they're still so little? Am I the only one who’s really happy for Stella? As a younger sister you often get the left overs because you just weren’t old enough to need something or knew better not to be tricked! Talking as an older sister, we might have some benefits but we have it a lot harder, parents are a lot harder on us than the younger ones, and younger ones are allowed to do a million things we could never. So as an older sibling I’d rather have the big room if I’ll have to deal with the worse of our parents, younger one can get the smaller room and live in peace.

@@micaelaiampietro1837 I get that! Tbh not my experience much, but there’s just two of us and even when arguments ensued we were generally both grounded! My parents were very good at balancing things out in making it fair but also knowing both their kids were completely different. My sister did open doors for me when it came to leniancy etc, but when I was old enough I also did for her many times. But we younger ones generally don’t get to fight for equal things until quite older because we’re just younger and naive and do get a lot of hand me downs or the less good choice. Balances out when we’re a bit older though.

Their whole family (except for his brother and Sarah) was waiting for them to get back from Hawaii. My real question is why they went to Hawaii in the first place, I have no idea 😂. But I know that Sarah and his brother Derik will be also moving back home to Utah. They all are from there. Hawaii is my question - how did that happen?! Now, they are just back home. This is why in my psychology courses they said moving is one of the top 5 grieving periods in our lives. Just remember, not only will you be able to maintain the friendships you have now, the gift of moving is it gives you an opportunity to expand your friendship circle. God will bring some wonderful people into your life that will become like additional family members to you. I have moved all across the country and as hard as each move is, I am so thankful for the friendships I have made. Some of those friends are genuinely family to me now, I gained a sister and niece who feels more like a daughter to me. Give yourself room to shed those tears and feel those feelings while also continuing to take each step forward you can, no matter how small the step may be. My prayers will remain with your family, that each day brings just a little more light into your lives. Hang in there with the snow, it is just as bad here in Idaho Falls. We had to go to Southern California twice this winter for 3 weeks at a time and dang did the snow and ice not just pile on. I had to have a brain surgery over Christmas,came home after 3 wks, than 6 weeks post-op we discovered I had a cerebral spinal fluid leak at the surgical site. That meant rushing back to LA and having my incision reopened to fix the leak. I spent a week in the ICU with a lumbar drain that drained excess spinal fluid. It was rough but after 3 weeks we returned home to the hellish amounts of snow, ice,and -22 degree nights. I am SO ready to leave all the cold over here, please Spring, we would love to see you this year?! I wonder what kind of bribes different seasons accept?! 😂

@@kamivelasquez3119 OH you are so sweet, thank you for this Kami! I have a good sized foot surgery this week (had 3 others on the same foot) that I am dreading but will help me walk without pain. Then it is back to CA for my (hopefully) last brain surgery. Things are tough but I try to think I am tougher and God is using this experience to help me grow and physically heal as much as possible. Just having you say this gave me a boost which I needed right now. Sending love your way!

Your new house is gorgeous! Love everything about it,especially your kitchen with the butler's pantry! I love to cook and back, so I would notice that first! Ozzy picked the smaller closet is adorable! I bet when she's a teenager and the basement bedrooms are down there, she will happily move to a bigger closet. The girls were precious looking at the house! I know it is very hard for you both to leave your friends in Hawaii. Your sadness made me very sad for you! 😔 They are your family too! @Barbra & anderson Here are some tips that helped me. 1. Plan towards it 2. Be frugal and minimal on spending (don't buywhy you don't need ) 3. Save money towards retirement (Roth IRA/401k) 4. Build an emergency fund 5. Save to invest, this is the most important because it's a proven way to get richer. Very important to financial success.

Second comment after watching this a second time ❤. Lauren one of the basement rooms should be a MUSIC STUDIO for you!!! Deffinetly another living/ family room for when the girls get older!!! And maybe a small kitchenette / snacking area with a sink for sure. Deffinetly a bathroom and storage area for holiday decorations etc and a workshop for all the tools you'll need for house repairs. It's such a huge fantastic space!!!! What AMAZING memories you're going to create over the years in your New Stunning Beautiful Home!!!! It's GORGEOUS!!!!
