A Quiet Place Day One is the newest film in the A Quiet Place franchise and stars the likes of Lupita Nyong'o and Joseph Quinn. This film has the excellent tension and technical that you have come to expect from this franchise. The writing however, has a lot to be desired. A Quiet Place: Day One is a 2024 American apocalyptic horror film written and directed by Michael Sarnoski, based on a story he conceived with John Krasinski. It is the third installment in the A Quiet Place film series, serving as a spin-off and prequel to the first film. The film stars Lupita Nyong'o as a terminally ill woman during the beginning stages of an invasion in New York City by extraterrestrial creatures with an acute sense of hearing. Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, and Djimon Hounsou, reprising his role from the second film, play supporting roles.
Development on A Quiet Place: Day One began in November 2020, with Jeff Nichols set to write and direct. By May 2021, Nichols' script had been completed, but in October 2021, he was dropped from the film due to creative differences. In January 2022, Sarnoski was announced to replace Nichols as writer and director; he was approached by Krasinski because of his indie feature directorial debut, Pig (2021). Principal photography took place from February 2023 to April 2023 in London, England.
A Quiet Place: Day One premiered at the Tribeca Festival on June 26, 2024, and was released in the United States by Paramount Pictures on June 28, 2024. The film received positive reviews from critics.

A Quiet Place Day One may be my favorite movie ever. I don’t feel like we need to learn more about the Death Angels for the movie to be good. I believe the story is very simple but impactful, and yeah the acting is great. The cinematography is very good compared to most movies and I love that. The monsters felt scary again since they didn’t in Part II. I love the two main humans to the point where I cared more for them than Frodo the cat. Eric also definitely made it to the island from Part II so we might see him in Part III. The ending was amazing. I loved how Samira went out on her own terms, and how they didn’t end the movie by killing off monsters, they just escape I think it’s way too good. I love how she smiled while the monster landed behind her, I love the music choice from that scene. I love how it dropped down on beat, and when the screen went black, I was far from disappointed. Still 10/10.
