I play for my team in Nantucket (neighboring island to martha’s vineyard which the rink is located) and we play against the vineyard which is our rivals. This video make me realize how bias the refs used to be during our games and always made the worse calls ever to cause my team to lose.

You know for warm-ups you are supposed to get your goalie warmed up, shooting at his pads and glove/blocker to give them a feel for the puck. You shouldn't be sniping on him and getting his confidence down lol

Fancy stick handles in vulnerable team positions combined with prematurely trying to pass up high in the zone before enough time down low with puck control is established is the reason you struggle. Your team is talented but you need a better strategy.

The team wearing the tablecloths MOVED the puck to the open man quickly and consistently, instead of the fancy stick handles into tough positions leading to forced passes of the trew crew. Was a game of smarts vs skills, and smarts won as usually happens in "big" games. Give me a team of high hockey iq average players over a team of highly skilled dumb players any day.

As a ref my self i have to do this: 3:06 tripping 4:28 he shouldn't have called the icing after the player just waved at the puck 6:03 he didn't warn you guys that you should not move before the face-off, not even single word or at least "stay back and don't move" from the ref. After the face off he didn't even blowed his whistle fro the reset of the face-off because you guys where in the cicrle (this is hurting my eyes, something so simple yet apparently so hard) 6:44 high stick but the player from opposite touch it so its cancelled 8:32 a beatifull prime example of hooking or some refs can say it was interference 9:00 oh god... 9:05 you played face-off with your skate and didn't blowed his whistle for new face-off omg 10:15 i would probably call it if i was there, he slashed your teamate and made him unable to play the puck - "slashing" in short 12:24 theres no fucking way hes not calling this, book example of tripping just happend meters from him and he doesn't care... shame on these mf

@@jmoriarty8000 okay 2 minutes is a bit too much but in my country this can be called as a delay of the game or the call on the icing will be canceled and the game continues, if you refuse to play the puck the icing will be cancelled and some refs can go as far as give you 2 minutes for delay of the game, if you clearly can play the puck and you refuse it should be 2 minutes

I’ve always hated refs for experience with the occasional good one and this video just adds to how much I think they’re bad In a tournament against a rival team it was 2-2 my team couldn’t score so it was a big deal and I was tendy I got a shot to my chest I held it for 8 seconds I put it down for the refs to grab and the ref just sits there then the other team comes in for the game winning goal when everybody thought it was a whistle
