Turn off the lights and leave only the screen as source of light. I don’t know how anyone plays games or watches movies in a lit room.

Watching tv or playing a game in the dark can strain your eyes because your eyes have to adjust to constantly changing light levels from the screen. Having at least one light on around your screen can alleviate this problem because it helps maintain a more consistent light level in the room.

It requires a dedicated room with controlled lighting, but provided you have that then gaming capable projectors are quite affordable. I have a BenQ TK710STi projected onto a 120" screen, it's only 1080p (though has a pixel shift 4K/60 mode which looks great for UHD movies) but honestly, the 1080p at 240hz on a large format screen is incredible looking, I'd choose the higher framerates any day. It only cost a couple thousand if going the DIY route.

I use an laser projector from epson on a "Grey screen" against reflecting. You can be on day, you will still see what you are watching. The set up together can be expensive but Laser projector combined with the good screen are incredible, and the sound of my epson is like cinema. I got my screen on nothingprojector. I can tell you, i wont move back on tv that's for sure. Also on my case i live in EU, and screen locally here (France) for projector cost ridiculously alot for not even being against reflection. My screen from nothingprojector costed 900€, while in France it's over 1k for less quality.

My screen in living room is 10foot too. At begining i was having eyes pains cuz you are forced to watch more around, but it's the best gaming or movie experience to get. Once you get used to it, you want bigger xD The kind of circle that never end.

I find that on a small 27in monitor that when I place my monitor 12in away from my face I get a placebo VR effect. Like if its 13 in and more I start to lose the feeling of being in a cockpit. What sucks is its a pain as I fly on my desk and feel so cramped because I need the monitor to be right up in my face and it causes feeling of being cramped BUT when I move my monitor back past that sweet spot I lose the VR placebo effect I get. There are a lot of videos for setting monitor distance for racing sims but in planes you get the same effect yet its rarely mentioned. Thinking of getting a 32in to replace my 27in as the same effect can be had but I can place monitor further away from my face.

@V3ntilator7 күн бұрын
It works on a normal fiber line. Doesn't need anything special.
@Nighthunt017 күн бұрын
if people actually understood the real speeds that are actually used for things on the internet...... companies selling 1+ gigabit internet is mostly pointless scam for general public, no servers use all that bandwidth. for example 4K Netflix maxes out at about 30 Mbps so that is 970 Mbps unused on a 1 Gigabit connection, online multiplayer games use a lot less bandwidth. the thing that does matter more is if it is fiber in order to have a good stable connection to servers
@V3ntilator7 күн бұрын
It's true for the most part, but Steam, UBI Soft, EA etc. can provide at least 1.Gigabit download speed. As for online gaming, video streaming etc. not even close to 100.MB is needed.
