My boys have known they were donor babies since they were tiny. At 10 & 12, they just now think they might want to meet their donor, who is open to it. I never wanted to hide who they were, or the great gift that allowed me to have them. I have never hidden who the donor was, have pics for them and keep in touch with their older half siblings. I feel for the girl who never knew, what a gut punch, but I know why her parents did what they did.

Everybody in this documentary has my thumbs up. To me, the biological father was the one that delivered this miracle. His noble action brought the joy of life to a family that could not conceive. The joy and the hardship of bringing up a child could not and would not have been realistic without the biological father gift and selflessness.

I'm not being critical or judgmental, but I felt a little sad for these lovely young women when I realized how underwhelmed & seemingly unemotional their bio Father was at meeting them...I expected him to be a bit warmer & more interested in getting to know them & learning about their lives & interests...I imagine it was somewhat more awkward for him in the beginning...Anyway, I hope they'll eventually have an enduring friendship & a sense of a special "connection" among them...

Both the biological mothers unfortunately show almost contempt for the child's right to know they raised their daughters subject to that underlying lack of values and, lack of honesty. After watching this video several times, it gives meaning as to why the father agreed to be on video and his subdued reaction. Its hard to tell if this was from the girls or the father but the mother's underlying obvious lack of values is disturbing. Some sperm donor dads do not want to be involved or are very cautious about being involved. That varies a great deal to the success stories we see where the children and their biological dads go on to great rewarding relationships. Lets hope these girls and their dad get to have their relationship.
