Who are we?
We are Adam (North American) and Bernardo (Brazilian) and we are husbands whose paths crossed back in 2016, when we both still lived in Brazil. Since the very beginning, we shared a common passion for travel and nature, which has only grown over the years and led us to this unexpected journey on KZbin, which has allowed us to connect with an amazing community that we’re beyond grateful for. “Go out and make memories” is our motto of living and a constant reminder for us that true happiness doesn’t come from the material wealth we accumulate, but from the memories we create and share with our loved ones throughout our existence. Michael, you are correct and we are content but remember, we are leasing this place. We want to have a place that is ours so we are weighing out the pros and cons. We have determined this year that we don't know if we can do another winter here with the lack of sun in the PNW. We are both from sunny places - we're definitely content but looking into the future as to what is going to be best for the three of us.

My husband and I have watched your videos and have watched during all your trials as a couple. My husband and I will celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary (22 years together) this year. I am not going to go into what we have went through, there was a lot. I will say as a member of a fantastic and loving relationship. You guys have it! Someone wrote "focus on what you have and not what you don't". They could not be more right. For now focus on each other. Have dreams, figure out where you want to settle and what you want as a couple (you have different hobbies). Keep in mind there is absolutely no rush. Take it slow and plan, together, you will find the perfect place.

We actually haven't watched the video yet, just looking at the topic, and we know that feeling! So often, people ask themselves if they are city people or country people or beach people or mountain people, and the truth is, some of us love all of those places and may never be totally happy being stuck in just one type of place. My husband and I live in San Diego, way on the outskirts of the city with a big yard and a pool, and we have hiking trails with mountain views on one side of the neighborhood and views of the Pacific on the other side of the neighborhood. We drive into the city multiple times a week because We crave that vibrant urban environment, but when we used to live in an area like that, it was super stressful day to day. This seems to be a pretty good sweet spot for us, where we have a good neighborhood, access close by to everything we need, and then a 20-minute drive into the city, the country, or the beach. Somewhere, there's a sweet spot for you guys too, where you are neither too close nor too far from all the things that inspire you. Searching for that may be your next big adventure! The other thing that really helped our state of mind was renting an apartment in another city for an entire month, so we could feel grounded while we were exploring and seeing what it was like to live somewhere else, then we were happy to get back home. I think this will be our new favorite day of traveling. We really hope the three of you find your special place soon, even knowing that no place can never be perfect! ❤ Now to watch the actual video haha

Sounds like you have a great set-up. Perhaps Bernardo and Adam could get some great ideas from your posting!! In addition, they could get a map out and use like maybe three compasses, and pin them at one: their desired home area; two: their favorite active/visiting area; and three: their work location. Then you use the three compasses to make circles on the map, and find out the area that they intersect. At least that is a beginning..

Of course, everyone is unique and individual, so a lot of life is trial and error. And you have to accept that every place you live will be imperfect in some way. I know you'll love living in the Columbia River Gorge as the scenery is always changing and with the views of the river, the railroad and the mountains, there is always something going on. I've been traveling up and down the Gorge for quite a few decades now, it's always one of my favorite drives. Summer is great fun with a lot more to see going on in the river. This could have been scripted by me. While I’m not the most outgoing person (I’m not the guy who strikes up conversations with strangers), I do need to be around people. I like cities. I like to be around people, their energy. I like walking around a neighbourhood rather than driving. I like the energy of a place like New York, watching the people and seeing the architecture and all of it (and then quietly retiring to my hotel room and recharging).

Beautiful video guys. I love the views, the outdoor ones and the ones of you two. You look great and seem very happy and in love. It's wonderful to see that affection between you again. I think you're going to find that when Spring and Summer come, you won't feel so isolated. It sounds like you have great neighbors (very lucky), and everyone will be out and about when it warms up. I love all the Henry appearances; he's so sweet and adorable. Those snow shoes! Of course only you two can decide what you want in the future, but that place you have now seems so wonderful. I think what you have at the moment is the winter blahs. Wherever you'd be living, you'd have them at this time of the year. Spring is there for you guys and summer is around the corner. What you do need though are friends that you can visit and who can visit also. There are things that make life a bit more difficult when living in the country but the good things outweigh the bad ones. But you do need to see other people. Loved this video.
