Food Wars is amazing. It's an incredibly raunchy show with a deep exploration of different dishes and cuisines. It got many people genuinely excited to cook. I would watch like the first 3 seasons at least.
@Erawan894 ай бұрын
I remember reading the manga for Food Wars weekly when it first came out and it was so good, the quality of the manga dropped drastically the later parts. I think it was because at the beginning, the author consulted with a real chef named Yuki Morisaki, but then she went on maternity leave. No other consultant was hired and it became too over the top with super powers and bad editors and the quality dipped.
@HellsingRuler4 ай бұрын
Yes that was the final story arc. It involved cooking with chainsaws.
@hakeem3114 ай бұрын
The final arc was something that happened because his editors didn't want him to write a story about soumas mom so he just said f it and ended it that way instead of how he wanted

Morisaki is more often labelled as a food researcher or a culinary expert than a chef, something closer to Alton Brown than Gordon Ramsay. She has been a popular TV personality both from her cooking knowledge and her beauty.

So, this is from Episode 2 of the first season of Food Wars. It's probably the best way to introduce what this show is all about (over-the-top cooking with theatricals + people orgasming from food), but what this intro doesn't show is that the students will do cook-offs betting various things on the line. Everything in the first 70-ish% of the manga (corresponding to the first 4 seasons) is somewhat grounded in reality, while Season 5 (the Blue arc with the Noir) is where things go off the rails. A few interesting episodes that I can think of for you and Frenchie to react, off the top of my head, are: - Season 1 Ep 14 (talks about serving food in large quantities, something the both of you are very experienced at) - Season 2 Eps 11-12 (Soma goes on an "internship" program where he works in actual restaurants, I think you two will find this fascinating) - Season 3 Ep 17-18 (bear meat, something you don't see often) - Season 4 Ep 10-11 (pair cooking, one cooks appetizer and another cooks main dish) - Season 5 Ep 6 (yes, this is the chainsaw cooking episode) Do note that the sections in Seasons 3 and 4 contain quite a lot of spoilers, if you intend to watch the show, probably don't skip straight to these episodes

You guys should really watch Food Wars. Aside from the over-the-top 'aesthetics,' the show genuinely respects the culinary world, in my opinion. The food visuals are absolutely mouth-watering, so you might want to have some snacks handy while watching

ChefPK is a great cooking channel to refer to for more Food Wars related cooking. He watched the entire show and cooked most of the food from the Anime on his channel. Also the lewd over the top stuff is mostly in season 1, they tone it down a bit in the other season's. The "foodgasm's" are a constant though. 😂

Would be a good contrast to the Pink Sauce crap, seeing someone that did it right.

No, there is no dr*g used in this anime. Chuuka Ichiban is the anime with evil chefs adding "exotic spice" into their cooking. Knowing traffic there, I would love to see the "Asian" going on a ROAD trip lol.(sorry stereotypes exists)😅 People just bump into your car, say "pardon" and drive off like it's normal every day business.. WICH IT IS!! 😂 Some amazing scenery though, absolutely beautiful. Especially the chateau's. For a chef, I think visiting France at least once in your life is a must have.
