37:30 I'm a dishwasher at a retirement community and all i can say is please have better standards for hiring dishwashers. Ive worked there 15 years and I can say that when you have competent dishwashers everything runs smoothers its a well oiled machine when im there i take pride in what i do. The bums management or the chef hires for shit pay and shit hours drags everyone down. Sorry for the rant lol i love my job but it's so tiring trying to get chef and management to listen to concerns

I work at a grocery store deli. 2 or 3 days a week we need to close early or stop cooking because we don't have the staff. Given how well maintained our "smart" ovens do, it's a long way before we are replaced.

We actually switched to AI to manage our scheduling but it doesn't get trained (like ot should have been) which is one of the issues, along side high turnover being the primary as I see it however.

In a recent episode, you guys were talking about how inconsiderate it is when someone comes into your kitchen and makes a mess and leaves. Essentially it's the same concept with Frenchie generating portions of the video that need to be edited. Making the content is like cooking, editing is like cleaning. We've had Self Scanning for 20 years or so, around the same time when we stopped using cash. Self Scanning for those who don't know is that you pick up a scanner when you enter the shop and as you pick up the whatever and put it in your tray you scan the bar code. It takes little to no time for you. And when you leave the shop you just put your card onto the card reader and youre done. It takes less time for the customer and it takes less staff for the stores. IDK but it sound like a win/win.

The biggest problems with fast food and retailers like Walmart isn’t so much that wages or costs have gotten too high, it’s that they need to continue to grow a certain percentage or else their stock crashes. If they profit 5 billion this year and last year, the stock will crash because they haven’t grown. And also if they don’t grow as much as projected their stock will also crash. It’s a terrible infinite growth system in a finite market. At some point market share for any company will peak and the company will crash due to the lack of continued growth and lack of ongoing support. Even the biggest companies will fail when they reach market saturation in this system. It’s set up for failure.

the 2 main supermarket chains in Australia use a lot of AI in the self service checkout. facial recognition to capture the persons face to flag if previously caught cheating the system or shop lifting cameras to detect what was scanned or put on the scale so you cant select a lower priced item to weigh or select a cheaper variety of apple that is cheaper scales where the items are placed in your bags after scanning to make sure what you scanned or selected weighs as expected to stop label swapping cameras to detect if you left anything in the trolly after selecting to pay and a staff member looking for any errors that pop up, if the AI sees something wrong it wont let you proceed to pay until a staff member comes and looks at the photo at the time of the error

I don't like how that there's less check outs open to make people use self check outs. The check outs offer jobs for juniors after school and for unskilled people. Also don't like the screens that you are expected to order from at fast food joints. I like looking at a menu before ordering from a person. It's also fun when overseas seeing what you get versus what you think you ordered.

Speaking of public caning it suddenly trigger one of my memory back in high school....In Malaysia, Department of Prison and Correctional Centre would tour the school as part of their "Crime Deterrent" initiative by showing live in prison is like. They does show to us the video of an inmates charge with canning punishment which is brutal as they also bring to our school real cane they use and it not just thick.....its layered with other thick cane combine which why even with one stroke your ass is done....now imagine 25 more (although in Malaysia canning is done by stages e.g. you got 15 stroke it may be 3 stroke on certain week another 3 next week and so on unlike in Singapore were canning was done all stroke at one session) Even though all of this is surreal and pretty horrified to watch welp....I guess someone in the Department be like "You know its a pretty bad idea to traumatized minor with gore sooooo let just put some Power Rangers or Ultraman music something like that to make it less horrified"....and welp...it work....too well that the whole student actually laughing because the music not just out of place but because the cane use by the executioner office is thick and heavy the way swing it does look like a Power Rangers move 😂

Haven't watched yet but I think ai won't replace that many jobs on higher end establishments you're paying for an experience but ofc McDonald's is going to cut 30-50% of there workforce over the next decade or two it won't fully replace workers but it's going to be a rough transition for millions of fast food workers.

The automation of fast food and any other restaurants and industries are just going to lead to the rise of unemployment because there won’t be enough jobs, which will lead to a lowering of wages. So to offset the elimination of jobs by these corporations, corporate taxes will be needed to be increased to offset the loss of jobs, as the government will need to subsidize the people that can’t get jobs due to automation.

Sadly AI will mostly replace white collar jobs, kind of the AI will do art and writing, leaving boring housework for us. Robots can do some of the basic things, but it will be a while to get the AI far enough along to make them safe enough to operate around people with the mass of variations possible. We will probably get fully self driving cars around the same time as automated fast food.

I'm ok with robots and AI replacing humans, i'm ok with robots who flip burgers. I mean we got self service ordering screen thingys at places like McDonalds. I'm ok with this. Some places have delivery drones or those little robots with the space inside then that delivers stuff to people, pretty sure they can take orders to tables and replace wait staff. That's why his lighting doesn't match what your brain expects from that room's lighting, and he has weird artifacts around his silhouette. Buying a better camera and having bad lighting is like getting better studio monitors without acoustic treatment in the studio. Like running Walmart tires on a Ferrari. You can get a good quality video with a cheap camera if you know what to do. Just like a professional musician can lay down some epic tracks with a cheap Chinese guitar. Good gear is better, but an understanding of technique is irreplaceable.

What’s remarkable is chipotle is probably the one legitimately healthy fast food out there. Like your stereotypical healthy food is chicken, rice, and broccoli. Whats the chipotle menu? Chicken or another real meat with beans, rice (or cauliflower if you want to cut carbs), and vegetables (salsa, guacamole, lettuce, etc) with spices and vinegar. Maybe a bit of cheese. The only unhealthy part of their menu is probably the tortilla chips (you could argue tortillas for like the burrito, but those at least aren’t fried in poopy vegetable oils). And what’s best is you think it’s unhealthy because it tastes good. The only bad thing is it’s insanely overpriced with how cheap the ingredients are and how easy it is to make at home. But on the bright side, buy some rice, beans, salsa, chicken, and spice packets then you can have home chipotle every day.

Taco Del Mar is 10000% more healthy than Chipotle. Also, much better tasting, overall. Chipotle has to be the most overrated fast food chain out there.

Chipotle will never be on the McDonald's level as far as fat and sugar and other buzzwords are concerned, but classifying it as "healthy" is a bit of a stretch. How they, as well as pretty much any restaurant that wants business, prepare their food involves lots of the things that can make it "unhealthy". Carbs and fat are only part of the picture. What's good for you mostly depends on you, the balance of what you eat to what you do. That said, if you're making it at home, I can pretty much guarantee it's better for you than what they're making; and more personally rewarding as well.

@@ShonnDaylee with refried beans fried in vegetable oils, tortillas bowls fried in vegetable oils, and all that, taco Del Mar is very unhealthy. Definitely worst than chipotle. Especially since the main dish from chipotle is the bowl, while taco Del Mar’s is the bleached tortilla. Chipotle is just the common one. Qdoba is the same, but tastes better.
