Chad talking about negative self-talk is the most relatable thing for me. It’s such a struggle but so important to practice taking our thoughts captive and replacing them with God’s Word!!

My husband instituted this giving - for our birthday we would take a couple out to dinner (our treat). We wouldn't tell why we were going out, until we got there. WOW!!! It was so fun to bless someone on our birthday, instead of them blessing us with a gift!

For me, two encouragements were very powerful for this moment: 1) You can't build someone up by tearing them down. // T.H.I.N.K about your words because they've got power. 2) Don't live in a friendship like "I need something from you." Be willing to invest and generously give in a friendship. And if it is a time you take to travel and leave your everyday life, do it. Thank you for your authenticity! It is so precious.

I'll definitely be taking away the tip about when I operate out of my own strength, my options in life are limited. When I invite the Spirit to move in my life THEN I'll have strength to fulfill Gods will for my life! Also this point hit me because hubby and I are pregnant with our first so it's crazy to imagine our grandkids under a big beautiful tree that will grow from seeds we plant now:) Thanks for the great words of encouragement!

The way Tori was holding babyM while he did his thang 😂😂😂😂 1. If I’ve learned anything at all from this channel, is that in every circumstance, no matter how we or others perceive us, all that matters is what God says about us and that’s it🙌🏾Not to disregard any “constructive criticism” or Godly correction from others, but Chad, if you love the mustache…KEEP IT💃🏾💃🏾It’s a different look and it may take a while for us to get use to it, but hey, if you love it and it makes YOU feel more like you’re kinda growing into dad life, that’s great🙏🏾Rock that mustache like a pro💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾😂😂 And also, 99% of the things y’all talked about is what I’m learning and unlearning so it’s super cool and encouraging🙌🏾 Safe travels y’all and God bless your beautiful hearts❤️

For me it’s the friendship and the dreaming one. Sometimes I feel lonely, not because I don’t have any friends, but because I am so busy with my everyday life, I forget to carve out time for those very special people that make my life actually amazing. And the other one really hit me, because i have been trying to get real about college; I really want to go somewhere far from home to get the experience and To get a very good education. But people around me keep telling me to be realistic about my choices (I want to study drama or dance or even literature). But I’m just going to let God surprise me ❤

Oh man, just one? Hahah they all were so good but I think the two that hit home the most for me were- “Don’t let past nightmares affect future dreams.” That put into words what I’ve been feeling and learning recently and it just clicked in my brain. There’s been so many things that God has been prompting me into that I’ve held back on because of fear from past situations. and then, two, that there is a cost in being intentional with friendships and that was encouragement I really needed! It’s very easy to slip back into the “it’s all about me” mindset and so good to be reminded of the heart Christ calls us to have in serving others and the blessing that is!
@Gabbythorne

Same to both of those! Right now, I'm feeling that fear as well since I'm raising funds to go on a trip on mission with EF Ultimate Break this summer. I'm not scared of the trip or being alone; I'm scared of people may think about me asking for money/ how I may look. When Chad said, "Stop settling for less than God's best," it really hit me. I can focus so much on people, what they think, or I could focus first on how the Lord has been leading me, how God is a provider, or how God already knows everything that' s going to happen.

I enjoyed this video so very much. Both of you gave sincere and clear wisdom. My biggest takeaway or realization after listening to each of you is let's not put ourselves in a box if we are not to put our Creator GOD in a box! I often say not to put God in a box but didn't think much about what I do to myself! God definitely does not keep us in a box. He is constantly trying to get to me through my self-made box. No more 🤗

Thank you for this video! The tip that I most often use in my life is: friendships are intentional and should be led as such. However, the tip that I think I needed to hear was the one after. You should not be afraid to say "no" to something impulsive or quick. Actually!!! My stepdad taught me this and I have slowly started applying it to my life. Whenever something calls for a quick decision (ex: you want to find an apartment and one came up but you have to sign the lease today), take a step back and talk to God about it. I watched a video the other day where someone said that God is patient and takes time with his blessings. He plants seeds very early on that can sprout months or even years later. If something seems to be exactly what you are looking for and it is approaching you very quickly, take some time to make sure that it is not a "detour" that the enemy is using to manipulate you. Straying away from impulsivity and practicing patience is key if you want to give time for God to prepare you for what He envisions your life to be.

I like how he spoke about saying negative things about ourselves. The only thing that has helped me is to stop looking in the mirror as much, when I get home from an event, if I go to the bathroom and look in the mirror i immediately think I look terrible. Now i don't give myself the option to do that.

Chad- it's funny you mentioned the "it is what it is quote" because in Australia here I have heard it so many times also. And I work pretty hard as well. But I picked what I do knowing my limitations and actually loving what I do. But not trying to stress myself too much because I know my trigger points- like if I get to stressed, it will drain me mentally and emotionally.

I can relate to your last piece of advice Chad also. I originally come from Russia and there is this song that I love and the lyrics of it are basically we live beyond our children and grandchildren. So think bigger. You have to think about the bigger picture, about eternity. Because if we think about it, this life is quite short. But our legacy will remain here through our children and grandchildren and that is why for me personally - it has been so hard relationship wise. As, my vision for my life has always beene "one life, one family". But it hasn't happened for me.

Hey tori and chad:)!! Have a question that I think you would be perfect to answer!!! I’ve been in a season where I feel like I’m not quite in a place to date. I’m in an active young adults group at my church and I keep having males… show interest? Maybe they are extra chatty with me, or ask to grab a coffee. I love getting to know guys in our church in a healthy setting but I’m not sure where the line is between being a friend and leading them on? I also don’t want to just assume they are pursuing me and tell them that I’m not interested I don’t want to look like I assume guys are just interested because we grab coffee.What’s a healthy way to go about this? What do friendship boundaries with males inside the church look like!! Love you’re little family so much thanks so much for all your help in my spiritual journey:)❤️

THINK: before you speak. T- Is what your going to say actually TRUE? H- Is it HONORABLE? Are you honoring that person with your words. I- is it INSPIRING? Is it inspiring them into action? N- is it NECESSARY? K- is it KIND? Related to your tone. Stop believing the lies about yourself. And resist negative self talk. Don’t stifle your dreams. Stop settling for less. Blaze your own trail. Friendships take intentionality. And there’s a cost. Give and invest time, travel.. You will get it back. Stop giving in.. to impulse buys, unhealthy choices. Start saying no.. it leaves room for a bigger YES later. Live for beyond yourself.
